What a treat!
This was a taste that took us right back to my dear mother-in-law making lefse every Christmas. They were very good. We will be ordering these again!

Yes fellow Norwegians, this lefse is the real deal! :)
This review is from an authentic Norwegian who was born, bred and raised on lefse for 20-some odd years :)Now living in California, I was sitting at home, watching Facebook feeds from Norwegian friends making lefse and I started craving some. Making lefse is not something I have time for, nor do I have the skill needed, so I took to the internet to see if I could find some. After some searching, I ended up buying the "Countryside" Lefse. I was hesitant the entire time because I was not sure if I would receive the kind of lefse I remember.Howeverm my excitement was grand when the package got here and I could SMELL the lefse through the paper! As far as authenticity, it certainly passed the lefse smell-test. Smelled like home to me!Now I'm sitting here, after having tasted the lefse, and my Norwegian palate, stomach and soul are extremely satisfied. It IS lefse, the way I remember it and the way I've always had it growing up in Norway.Of course I have brunost/geitost/brown cheese in the fridge, so it most certainly was a complete Norwegian breakfast this morning with lefse and geitost. I have included a photo of my breakfast, if you're Norwegian and looking for lefse, I'm sure you'll click the "add to cart" button after seeing it and let me tell you, these do taste like lefse from home.To Americans - Lefse is a "potato" roll/ thin tortilla of sorts, and you can eat it for breakfast, or as a snack or even with dinner. You can add a number of toppings - so add your choice of topping and roll the lefse up like you see in my photo.Favorite toppings for the lefse is butter (always butter!) with jam. you can also do butter and drizzle sugar on it. Really, you can roll it with any topping you want - meats, cheeses, jams .... go crazy! The geitost/brown cheese is a Norwegian staple on every Norwegian breakfast table and it definitely belongs on a lefse. For Americans, if you want to try the lefse/brunost combo I recommend getting this brunost: Gjetost - Pound Cut (1 pound) It is genuine brunost but it's milder than the actual "Geitost". In some stores, you can also buy it under the brand "Ski Queen". The Ski Queen brand is very small, but it may be good for trying it, then you can come here and buy the bigger bricks once you know you like it.Anyway, this lefse is definitely awesome, I will most likely be ordering a crate of it directly from CountrySide once these packages are gone. It's the real deal and it tastes like home :) If you're a Norwegian with a lefse-craving, look no further, this one will satisfy :)

Shipping Issue
I suspect this lefse would have been delicious, but we experienced a bit of difficulty with the shipping. I purchased this for Christmas dinner and the info said it would arrive by Christmas Eve (between 12/19 and 12/24). Perfect I thought. Problem is, it arrived in our mailbox on Saturday, 12/15 and we didn't check the mailbox until late Monday, 12/17. With a wrapper that said "refrigerate upon arrival" we were a bit hesitant to eat it when it had been sitting outside for a couple of days. Since it wasn't "Prime" shipping, I paid 3x more for the shipping than the cost of the lefse (but, hey, it was for Christmas!) so I was not willing to just throw it out and, by the time I did open and taste, it was sour. In fairness, I think most of this was my fault, so just watch for it if you order.

Won’t order again!M
I was very disappointed in this order. It was so difficult to separate the pieces of lefse. It was all ripped apart by the time I tried to separate the pieces of lefse. It was 6 pieces per package and I maybe got two full pieces out of it.I wouldn’t order again.
