Does the job well as a carp spomb reel with a concerning caveat
Purchased this as a carp fishing spomb reel which requires large capacity line storage of braid, distance casting along with a smooth, high-speed retrieve. It mostly accomplishes all of these requirements with one issue: When I loaded line the 1st time too much line was gathering at the bottom of the spool to the point that line was spilling over the bottom with not enough at the top (think an upside down V). The reel comes with extra red nylon washers with NO EXPLANATION of what they are for. I believe from past experience with Daiwa reels that these are to be added or subtracted to the spool shaft to address this line-lay issue. So I added 1 which mostly fixed the spooling issue but now many times when I attempt to flip the manual bail over, the spool sits too high up and the bail barely and sometimes does not clear the top of the spool! Is this a design flaw or did I get a bum reel? Other than this 1 issue I like the reel but can only give it 4 stars. If anyone else knows how to address this issue I'm all ears!

Misleading picture
Picture in listing needs updated or we received the wrong reel? Color in listing is black, reel received is silver. Otherwise seems ok.

This is a 5000 series reel, not 4500
This is a BIG reel. I was under the impression it was a 4500 series but turns out I was wrong. If you’re just going to cast out and leave your bait there with a weight, good reel. If you’re going to be working a bait, probably going to wear your arm out. I’ll find a use for it, but it wasn’t what I thought I was getting—hence the three stars instead of five.

Beautiful reel
This is an older model of the reel, but it works well, have not had any issues yet and it's really nice looking and feeling reel. If you need larger spool and you want to cast far for whatever reason, this is great deal for the price. Be aware that due to the size, it might not fit your bag, if your bag is small :) Update: I've been fishing with this reel for some months now. I used it quite a bit casting on the baltic surf and it's really good. The coating finish of the reel is not very stable as it already started to chip away on some places, but there's nothing wrong with how it works. I can totally recommend it.
