Locustek FLUX Line Waterproof Case for Apple iPhone 6 / 6s - Black

The best part about this case is the fact that it also comes with a lanyard. That was more difficult to find than I expected. When I visited the Galapagos islands I wanted to have freedom to take my phone places and not worry too much about it getting wet. Having both a waterproof case AND a wrist lanyard made me feel much more at ease reaching my hands out over the boat to snap a great photo of sea lions, etc.I did the recommended waterproof test with a tissue inside before going, and it was successful. I never submerged my phone because why gamble? I only got the case as a precaution.A few notes:- Make sure you actually screw the headphones into the jack using the adapter, or the sound won't come through properly- The Ringer Silencer button DOES work with the case. You just need to make sure that the phone's switch slides into the case's switch properly during installation. I didn't do it right the first time.- You will have to take your phone's screen protector off if you have one, in order to get it to function properly with this case. Kind of unfortunate because that may cost you more money when you plan to go back to a regular case. (I have a really high quality screen protector)- This case's greatest weakness is that it makes the Control Center (swiping up) incredibly difficult. I got into the habit of swiping up like 4 or 5 times rapidly in order to bring up my Control Center to snap a quick photo.- Typing also requires more force which is kind of annoying, but also somewhat expected for a waterproof case.

This case is great!! My concern was regarding the muffled sound that life proof and other cases cause to the calls. This one dis not affect the calls at all. There is a side "button" that covers the volume. That does not work too well, but at least did not broke like the precious case I got from Amazon (HiTechCase - which entitles itself as "best waterproof case", but is not. It broke within the first week of usage). I got this for my husband to use because he is really careless with his phone. He drops it from the top of the tractor and leaves the phone overnight in the rain or snow. I can tell that this case is pretty sturdy. He does not submerge his phone with this case, so I cannot say that is good for swimmers! We did the paper test on arrival and It work perfectly, though!This case provides BY FAR BETTER calls (sound quality) than the LIFEPROOF CASE bought from Verizon (so I'm not comparing it with a fake one!). If you are on the market for a waterproof case, I recommend this one!! I would buy it again!

So far so good. An affordable alternative to the lifeproof case. The last lifeproof I owned was for an iPhone 4, and this case seems like a parallel move or a slight upgrade. I'm impressed with the better mic and speaker openings, and the charger port and headphone jack are covered securely. The integrated screen protector is on par with most other cases with that feature. The volume on off switch was a little fussy, and it took me several attempts to get the phone inserted just right, but it works fine for me. I love that the thumbprint recognition works too. I've never seen a waterproof case that offers that. My last otterbox simply covered it up and that feature was lost. I haven't yet and hopefully will not have to test the waterproofiness of this case... I needed a completely dust proof case due to my work environment, but I don't go swimming with my phone. So far it's doing what it should.

Update:I was happy with the case for a long time until I had to remove and reclose the case. The silencer/volume enable switch doesn't work with case close anymore. Disappointed since its supposed to be lifetime warranty. Everything else is quality. The need for adapter for headset was the reason I had the need to open up the case. Would like to have this replaced if the company can exchange it for a switch that works.I have gone through a few of these types that look similar to red pepper or life proof. I can't attest to real life submersion because I no longer trust it after my lifeproof protected one got water damaged and wasn't covered by their warranty because I bought it through AT&T. Other cases broke off mute lever and felt flimsy cheap plastic. This one is a nice case and feels as sturdy as lifeproof. It survived falling in snow and getting wet. I like it so far after a week.

Pros:+ It's a great looking case (even better than the pictures on amazon would make you think)+ In some ways it might actually be sturdier than the lifeproof case: I've dropped my phone several times in the months since I bought it and never had a problem with cracksCons:- Although this phone was definitely waterproof for the first few weeks it broke down quickly due to some flaws in the design: weirdly enough it seems that the case is almost too sturdy for it's own good. Let me explain: first of all unlike similar products like lifeproof this thing is very VERY tough to seal shut or open up again. It requires a lot of force to put on (so much so that it almost feels like the iphone might shatter from the pressure) and once you put it on it's even more difficult to get it off again-- even opening the charging slot is challenging-- and this is the fatal flaw for this case: it's so tough and so brittle and so rigid and seals so tightly that just opening and closing the charging port will eventually cause it to crack and allow water in, which completely defeats the purpose of the device.

Product build seems pretty good out of the box. The sound quality takes a big hit but is to be expected with any waterproof case. I was really disappointed that only the stock Apple charging cords work with the case. I have many aftermarket cables and none of them fit through the charging port. If you are someone who uses nothing but the stock data cord then you may have good luck with this product. I cannot comment on the waterproof or shockproof aspects of this case as I just got it. The case assembled together fairly easily. I would like to try this product again if they redesigned the charging port.
