Door is poorly designed
I have owned this box for about 6 years. I am on my third door. The door is poorly designed and expect it to break after a few years. It breaks horizontally left to right about one inch from the bottom. It is not properly reinforced and snaps. The door freely opens with no spring or shock absorbance. You may remember to open carefully, your mailman doesn't. I used 1" rubber bumpers attached to the underside of the door to cushion the drop and 1/8" X 1/2" X 18" long steel bar riveted to the sides and bottom. This box looks great, but should be better designed for the price. The poorly designed replacement door is about $70. Not sure how much they would charge to make it correctly. No response from manufacturer-they should of, now the world knows

Good looking and sturdy
I bought the mailbox and post system ten years ago. When the hinge on the door failed, I didn't hesitate to order a replacement mailbox. The mailbox looks really good and is roomy enough for small packages. The mailbox is very easy to attach to the matching post.
