Why change what was already good?
Why did ya’ll change the recipe? I like to switch between the pomegranate and cherry Yerba during my time at work. I am a loyal customer who’s even known at work for drinking these for nearly half a decade. The first time I realize there was a recipe change is when the cherry Yerba changed to Cherry berry. Neither of the flavor was noticeable. The cherry Yerba used to have a strong cherry taste that I loved and was excited when I seen berries added to the flavor. It tasted awful with no fruity taste. Now I am hearing from other loyal customers my long time favorite, the pomegranate Yerba, don’t even taste good more. Why change what’s already good?

A good and healthy energy drink
I’ve been drinking Guayakí Yerba Mate for several years now, and it’s by far my favorite go-to beverage for a clean energy boost. The taste is smooth, refreshing, and not overly sweet—something I really appreciate. While I have a favorite flavor, I’m excited to try some of the others soon. I also love supporting Guayakí because they’re a local company with a mission I can stand behind—focused on sustainability, fair trade, and community. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a healthier alternative to traditional energy drinks

Favorite Beverage Ruined
I’ve been drinking three or four these daily for 5+ years (and their loose leaf tea for 2 decades). They’ve been my favorite beverage and I’ve purchased at least a few thousand of them over the years. My friends jokingly call them my “life juice” and laugh about it, but it’s true. No other flavor and no other drink has come close. Plus, 80 mg of caffeine really is the sweet spot, allowing you to sip casually and feel revitalized (you know, as if it were tea?). I was concerned about the leadership and CEO changes ant this company over the past few years, as well as by the recent rebranding to “Yerba Madre.” Well, now they’ve discontinued what used to be the “Cranberry Pomegranate” beverage and replaced it with this new drink, which is something entirely different. The flavor is unrecognizable (I personally dislike it), and it has 50% more caffeine, meaning it can no longer be sipped on like tea (unless you like warm, semi-flat soda). I realize I’m only a single (albeit very loyal) customer, and the company doesn’t owe anything to me, but having this beverage effectively discontinued and replaced with something completely different is incredibly disappointing nonetheless. I’m sure whatever beverage I end up replacing it with won’t be the same.

Cranberry pomegrante yerba mate
FIrst time I've consumed yerba mate. I have cranberry pomegranate flavored. Tall slim cans that hold 12 oz. Tasty and refreshing. Less carbonated than soda. It's a bit expensive per can, but is a welcome change from other beverages. Likely, I will try the lemon essence the next time I order it out of curiosity.

Formula change, not as good as it used to be :(
Super sad that they changed the formula when they rebranded. Not as sweet or cranberry flavored :(

Was My Go-To for Years… New Formula Ruined It
Man I hate giving this 1 star because this drink has been my jam for years. Loved it! Literally thousands of cans over many years. My family pokes fun at me because I have it every day and always bring some with me or figure out where to buy it anytime we went on vacation. That’s why this is so dang frustrating. The new formula is terrible, it’s unrecognizable and just not the same drink anymore. Even my kids noticed the difference. They used to want to steal my drink, and was so excited when I gave them one. Now they’re like … “no thanks!” Their face when they tried the new formula said it all. “Dad what did they do?!” I loved the health benefits of Yerba and the clean 80mg of caffeine was the perfect amount, not too much, not too little—and the taste WAS amazing and what kept me coming back. Hard to find all this combo anywhere else. Really hate to push the unsubscribe button but I’m just not going to keep buying this if all the reasons I loved it are gone. Now I’m stuck looking for an alternative after years of loving this one. Ugh … very frustrating!
