The Clairmont fireplace glass door is very well made, sturdy and attractive. Assembly and installation instructions were easy to follow which made assembly and installation relatively easy to understand and complete. The door fit our fireplace perfectly. We are very satisfied with our purchase of the door.

Installation took 15 minutes, very nice piece and upgrade!

I was very excited when these arrived as I had been anticipating having nice new fireplace doors for when the family arrived for Christmas this year. Unfortunately, due to a few poor quality issues, I had to return these doors and will not be ordering replacements. The swinging mesh screen doors are on pin hinges, and when I pulled the doors from out of the box and undid all of the tape and straps holding the doors shut, I tested the doors and both mesh screens fell right out of the assembly when I swung them open. The pins were too short or the frame was incorrectly sized/warped and would not hold the screen doors in place. Furthermore, one of the catch magnets that secures the doors shut was cracked and barely held in place with the set screw. I didn't even want to touch it because I saw it was about to crumble. Lastly, there were various paint scratches on a number of inner surfaces (nothing on the obvious forward facing surfaces) and I could just see the same scratches showing up over time and use on the front face. Lastly, these tempered glass doors cannot be used closed shut if you have a fire going since there are no vents above and below the doors. This is something I missed when ordering originally. For now, I am sticking with my tried and trusted doors I currently have and will forgo the "upgrade" to the new modern look.

Returned glass doors do not shut properly. They rub at the center and no room for adjustment.

These doors are very well made for the price! They look great and have a very solid feel. I like the magnetic closures on the screen and doors. They include some insulation, but you will probably want to purchase more at your local home store. Be careful to measure the width of your lintel (metal plate that holds up the middle of the fireplace). The doors attach to a masonry fireplace by clamping around the lintel, and mine was too wide. I had to drill and tap 2 holes and bolt the unit directly into the lintel. I installed these over a cozy grate heater, and I have been very happy with the results. Be sure to subtract the height of the heater when measuring. The manufacturer doesn't recommend it, but I have run the fireplace with he doors closed, as long as the fire is about 8 inches away from the glass.

We've lived with an ugly brass fireplace door that was difficult to open with the crummy mesh curtains for over 15 years. We've not found good alternatives locally so we spent time online where it seems there are only a few manufacturers. We settled on this one because it has the bi-fold doors we want, the right finish and came at the price point we were interested. Some of their other models are nicer looking but we didn't want to spend more [...] First off, this thing comes packaged really, really nicely in a 50-lb package. There's padding and straps everywhere to keep it snug and secure on its way to your house. That took a little time to remove, but I was impressed. Installation was easy too - add the two handles, connect two brackets up top to your fireplace, two more thumb screws at the bottom and you're done. The product is very solid with tight hinges. The actual mounting took maybe 5 minutes-it was easy. The doors can be adjusted slightly so that they align perfectly. Once installed, mine needed about a 1mm adjustment-no problem using a torx screwdriver. It also comes with some fiberglass insulation that fits in the tracks all the way around, but it's not thick enough to seal it to the wall behind it. Mine goes on an uneven stone hearth so I bought an extra roll of fireplace insulation to fill in the gaps between the stones. If you have bricks, you might be thinking the same thing. It was so quick and easy and made such a dramatic change for us, we were kicking ourselves thinking, why didn't we do this years ago?

after looking for fireplace doors that wouldn't break the bank, we looked online and came across this company. we were a little hesitant at first, but after reading all of the great rewiews, we gave it a shot-and are we glad we did. these are quality doors, easy to install and worth every penny. we looked up the video on youtube, as others have suggested, and it really was easy. we had to make a small adjustment, since our house is older, but it wasn't hard. they look great, work well and are a great value. i would recommend these to anyone.

This looks great and the doors feel solid and open and close nicely but the one screen came with a dent in it and I never could reach anyone to get a replacement screen and finally gave up trying. It's not that big of a deal because when the doors are closed it looks great and if it's in use I don't think the dent changes it's effectiveness it just bothers me that I could get help on the phone or through e-mail to get customer service with the problem so for that reason I would not order from this company again but if you get this without any flaws then it is a nice fireplace door that was pretty easy to install

The products looks good but was quite disappointed with the manufacturer customer service. Got the wrong size of the door and ask if I can exchange the product because it's a brand new and I was ready to pay shipping but they said no and didn't even try to help.
