Very Good Head Magnifier It Gets The Job Done
Very nice head magnifier, a must have for any craftsmen. Quality and durability seem fine while also being light and easy to get used to on the head. Battery life is good the overall functionality meets expectations. The adjustable head strap works great, the lenses are clear with good magnification levels. Now, lets not fool ourselves. This is an inexpensive head magnifier that has to balance strength and durability while maintaining light weight as to make it bearable to wear for extended periods of time. In that regard, this is an excellent head lamp but don't expect it to hold up to a 6ft fall onto concrete that well. Also, the flip down lens and the side monocle need to be handled with a bit of care. The retaining clip for the flip down lens, that increase magnification over the main lens, can break if over bent. Also the monocle is held on with one screw that can have a tendency to back out. They could have used a slightly higher grade plastic for this but it's serviceable to the handy even with it's minor drawbacks. I don't think you'll find better in this price range.

For my WATCH WORK
Very effective for close up work without the hassle of other designs. The binocular vision is superior for this design over other types of design. Other designs may have more flexibility, but they can cause a parallax effect which this design avoids.

Don't miss this
Update: one of the tiny catches that hold the secondary lenses in place, has broken off. A shame, too. Hardly any effort to release the lense to it's retracted position. See the photos For $16, this is very difficult to beat. Awesome headband adjustment and side-to-side as well as up and down adjustment of the light also. Uses two common AAA batteries that can be had almost anywhere. Comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. I just love the thing.

Totally worth it!
OMG. This magnifier is exactly what I needed after my cataract surgery, which left me with good distance vision, but terrible near-vision. I acquired several different sets of reading glasses all in different magnifications for different purposes. This is what was missing. This will work for reading text on my phone or in a regular (not large text) book. It will work for close-in vision like building a computer with all its tiny screws. I just received it after a several-week wait. If I had to criticize it, it would be the optics: because of the way the main lens is constructed, you have to be precise about the distance. Too close and you will see double. Too far and the image will blur. It works with reading glasses, but in my case at least, it is better without them. If I had to request an additional feature, it would be a fitted case for the 4.5x loupe which I use rarely.

Makes battery replacement in key fobs much easier.
Excellent for close-up work when replacing batteries in key fobs and other products.

Awful blurry lenses, bad spherical aberration.
If you have never used a pair of these before then let me save you the trouble of wasting your time returning these or getting headaches. The lenses are bad, like really really bad. If you never heard of spherical aberration you will thoroughly become familiar with it's effect when wearing these - bad blurring around the edges. My test is to try and look at my phone which has a very high DPI screen and it's a wavy, blurry, headache inducing experience. Trying different lens to eye distances did not correct this. Switching to a more real world task like looking at circuit boards and wiring connectors is somewhat less terrible but still not comfortable compared to other pairs I've used over the years. My benchmark is a roughly $25 pair from McMaster Carr which are crystal clear and have no focal issues or other visual disturbances. However they are no frills without lighting, padding, monocle, and have a Velcro strap my hair gets caught in instead of an easy locking adjustment knob. Despite the luxury features offered, the lenses render it useless. I returned these and will try a different pair and if those are junk, buy the aforementioned no frills headband magnifier. I need to do work, not juggle plastic import junk.

medium quality magnifier
the quality of the magnifier is satisfactory but could be much better, it does allow light in dark conditions and is a great piece of kit for a novice repairer, but you’d need a better magnifier for small repairs, the design is great and so is the size, but it could use more magnification
