It was 'suggested' -by a locally renowned psychiatrist- that I take NAC many years ago when I was suffering depression after a long term battle with Opioids and Alcoholism, I had tried every antidepressant medication that he and other Doctors I had seen had in their arsenal. It took some time into my recovery before I actually attempted to remember what it was called, (Yes I was that bad) I even had to call the Doc's office -to no avail- who it turned out had since retired, I did eventually, through my own research come across the name of this wonderful gem of a supplement and EUREKA!! It all came flooding back! I 'flew' to the local health food store (such was my desperation) and paid out the wazoo for some in capsule form and was shocked at how much of a difference it made. There are reviews here abound where you can read about the chemical mechanics of what it is/does so I'll stick with the results: It made a HUGE difference to how I feel! Try NAC it will work wonders for you unless you are a very rare specimen with perfect body/brain chemistry which I find, frankly, highly unlikely...

FYI: this *will* ruin your enamel if it comes into contact with teeth repeatedly, best to put it in capsules yourself. Great stuff. Very *very* pure. I use the lowest suggested dose 600mg for liver detox (preexisting condition, my enzymes are up, I've done this before) not only did my brain fog immediately start to clear, but I also started to get anhedonia, so I supplemented with a couple brazil nuts each day. (can take at any time) Remember this is a chelator, so don't take it w any supplement that has metals aka zinc copper etc, and don't take vit c at the same time, as it will effect redox. Actually just best to take this on an empty stomach at night. Also, I've noticed my motivation and focus is way up, it has definitely helped my adhd which is an added benefit. I'm actually stocking up on extra just in case it gets pulled from shelves again.

Yes as one review has already mentioned, this does smell like rotten eggs or something died in the bag. But taste is not the same. I can say it can be considered a sour taste. Personally, I think it taste similar to magnesium. But so far I don't feel any negative affects after drinking it. If your averse to strong smells maybe get the pill version. Probably should put in description that it has sulfur oder that is strong. Update: I'm two days in using NAC and it's working well. I don't have the negative effects of caffeine that I normally do, which are headaches.
