I had an HDMI cable failure that took out 2 existing cables. One of them was a 10' Belkin cable. Not cheap, but not high quality. I'm hoping that these Monster cables will provide service for at least a couple of years. Happy with them thus far. I have a mix of older technology and newer that needs to play nice with each other. Regardless of age, I try to buy high quality components. I've had good luck with top-of-the-line products. Cheap stuff, you get what you pay for. An old saying, but so true.

I can’t take points off for the price, it’s Monster. You’re buying a high quality cable, and you pay a pretty penny for it. I’ve personally been using Monster cables for all sorts of things throughout the years, and I intend to keep it that way. I recently purchased a new TV and an Apple TV 4K, and needed an HDMI 2.1 capable cable and this cable delivers! No issues whatsoever, and it’s nice and thick so it gives off a durable feeling. Definitely recommend if you’re in need of some high speed HDMI cables for your A/V setup

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have always used the Monster cables. I was a little concerned about these being the real thing as they were only packaged in plastic. They are performing well so far on my new Sony and LG TV's.

I had been having problems setting up an eARC connection between my Samsung 4k QN90A TV and my Onkyo TXRZ50 Receiver. To work according to Samsung, I needed a 2.1 HDMI HEAC or HEC cable. After power cycling both devices I connected this cable between receiver and TV and was finally able to play Dolby surround sound from the TV through the receiver to my 7.2 speakers.This cable is very expensive but appears to be solidly built. Very happy with the purchase.

Can’t go wrong with monster cables I used these for my new high def 4K neo led Samsung tv’s I got these because they support 120 hertz refresh rate and because my tvs boost to 240 hertz they work great you can buy some cables that say 4K but do not support 120 Hertz refresh rate and the longer the cable the more capability is needed

Monster 8Ft Ultra High-Speed Cobalt works well with my 4K sony TV.

Totally misleading will pass only 9Gbps I'm not happy with this product false advertising
