I think this was a really great value at the $9 we paid. Since it's die cast it's very durable. My 6 year old has yet to destroy it. I will say that my 2 year old threw it hard onto our tile floor and the back fin came off. I was able to super glue it on and it hasn't come off since. Under normal circumstances I think that wouldn't happen to this. Every parent has a stock of super glue handy anyway if needed. :p

While this was super cute. It broke very easily.

I used the shuttle as a graduation cake topper for my son who graduated witha BS in Aeronautical Engineering . Best cake ever with rocket sprinkles coming down the side. gold & silver starrs on wood stics on the top behind the shuttle ! Now he has the shuttle AS A KEEPSAKE !

There is a dent and scratch on the left cargo bay door. The right cargo bay door does not open. It doesn’t open because the center screw on the underside of the shuttle is misaligned. I fixed it by taking out the center screw. I opened the left door. Then I put my finger through the opening and pressed on the floor. It snapped down. With it snapped down, the alignment of the screw hole was corrected. I then screwed the screw back in, and everything worked.
