What size do you recommend for someone who normally wears 8.5?

I carry 10 and have got 10. They to me aren't small, but for bigger comfort when walking I would take on a size floor more than 10.5 now

The shoe itself is fine - the leather needs to be put in the sun for a few hours afterwards ;-)
