These mitts are the bees knees! I had previously been using welding mitts to remove a Dutch oven from a 475 degree (F) oven and I could feel the heat. In fact I thought I'd got a blister, but I hadn't. I went looking on Amazon to find a better pair of mitts and I ran across these with their super high approval rating, I ordered a pair and just used them. I couldn't even feel that the Dutch oven was hot. What a difference these make. I no longer have to feel trepidation about taking things out of a very hot oven. I just have to remember to use these mitts. BTW I'm a 5'7" male with large hands for my size and these mitts fit great. I normally wear M clothes, but L gloves.

Good silicone coverage for protection, but a little stiff and awkward in use.

I love these oven mitts. I always had the fabric ones in the past....and they always got so ratty looking with stains, etc. I like to keep my mitts out in the kitchen on a hook, so these always look nice and clean. They are nice and long so you don't burn your forearm on the side of the oven when taking things out. If I spill something on them...taking out a bubbly pie or something, I just rinse them under running water in the sink and they are good to go. At first, they felt a little cumbersome because I was used to the flexibility of the fabric, but you get used to them and they are fine. I am considering purchasing extra...they would make a nice gift for any cook!

I love these mitts. This is the first time I am trying silicone mitts and they are the best. I especially love the length of them. I know I will not burn myself like with my regular mitts. I have the red and they are true to color. Would highly recommend purchasing.
