T83006 Torin Hydraulic Trolley Service/Floor Jack with Extra Saddle (Fits: SUVs and Extended Height Trucks): 3 Ton (6,000 lb) Capacity, Red

I received my 3-ton jack yesterday. Of course, I checked the hydraulic fluid level right after I removed it from the box (based upon the reviews I read), but everything checked-out. Upon inspection, I couldn't imagine how much more perfect the finish, welds, etc. could be on a floor jack. I've done a lot of DIY on my vehicles over the years, and this is, by far, the nicest jack I've purchased or used. For the money I spent, I feel like I got a great value. Hey, it's "pretty" and red. I can dig it. I put this to immediate use to swap the rear brakes on our 2002 Acura CL. Being a "low profile" vehicle compared to an SUV (not that low, but, still, a passenger car), I found this jack was able to clear well beyond the rear axle to find the "sweet spot" to allow elevation of both wheels simultaneously. I also purchased the Torin T43006 3 Ton SUV Jack Stands because, if you haven't guessed, my other car is a small SUV (2009 Toyota RAV4). I was concerned I might not be able to elevate the Acura high enough to clear the minimum 15.25" height for the jack stands. It wasn't a problem at all. The jack elevated well beyond the need and was quite stable (as I'd expect a 3-ton jack doing a 2-ton's job). I, probably, spent more time inspecting the jack than actually using it because of all the concerns posted in the reviews. However, I can see this working well for both vehicles (that extension pipe is great, solid, and will do the job for my RAV4), and, assuming I take care of it, should last.

Let's get right to it..... Cons: *Due to its sturdy construction and high lifting capacity, this jack can be quite heavy, making it challenging to transport or move around, especially for users who may not have the necessary strength. *Limited Height Range: While it's designed to lift SUVs and extended-height trucks, some people may find its height range limiting for certain vehicles or maintenance tasks that require greater clearance. This has been a really decent jack for the $. I used it on a 2.5 ton Discovery 2. It's a heavy truck and this jack worked great. I love the additional piece to make it an SUV/truck jack. Very helpful. Also great because you can remove the piece, and still use the jack on a car as well. Mine arrived completely ready to go out of the box. The day after I got it, I used it to change the rotors and pads on all 4 wheels of my Disco. Worked great. Made the job a lot easier and quicker. Two out of probably 100 pumps I would get a weird sound and the jack wouldn't go up on that pump. Would immediately go up again on the next pump, and it would not the jack did not go down at all. Not sure if this is common, or if it means it could fail. This is my first floor jack so if anyone wants to comment below that would be great. The release is a little touchy, but after the first time I was able to control the descent to the exact amount I wanted. It feels like a pretty good quality product. And most importantly, it works. Only would want to change two things. 1. Add a handle or something to carry it with. Not a huge deal because you don't really carry them very often, but would be nice when you need to. 2. I would have liked a mount for the removable pump bar. Again, not a huge deal, but I would have liked a mount to keep the pump bar when not in use. Lastly, be safe and use wheel chalks and jack stands when working on your car.

Using the long length saddle, this jack slides under my Subaru Outback and enabled me to get a jackstand under it such that a good looking man of my girth can safely slide underneath to perform maintenance. Other jacks didn't lift high enough, this one lifts up to 20 inches in height, so I highly recommend it. The jack itself is heavily built of steel with massive side members that hold the whole device perfectly rigid. The 3 ton hydraulics work very smoothly up and down and lifted my 1.5 ton wagon with little effort. It comes with a yellow nylon handle that I snapped into place which made it much easier to carry. The red paint is flawless and not easily scratched. I felt confident in my safety using this well made tool. For the price I was pleasantly surprised at the quality & finish.

0. Packaging was terrible. It's heavy and they put the jack in an oversized box. The jack is about 3/7 the width of amazon box and 3/4 in height. It was hell for the deliver man when I watch the footage from my camera. 1. Oil spilled, all of them, before I opened the package. The manual was bathed in oil and almost impossible to read. To be honest, I did not figure out the wet box was from the oil (didn't touch it) and the manual was drenched in oil. I thought I could see the other side of each page in the manual was because of the poor paper quality. I was new to this equipment, so I spent 1 hour to figure out why the jack barely raised (because it was out of oil if you wonder). I followed the manual properly despite the manual was oiled. 1st time use: release the valve, pump 10-15 times, open the cover, take a flat screwdriver to push around the edge of oil plug to release any air trapped inside, close the valve. I assumed it was due to poor shipping. So I bought some jack oil to refill. The jack raised as it should. I was happy for 1 minute until I saw the floor was wet with oil. It was the oil leak. The oil was spilling constantly from the bellow of the oil container thing and the piston (I don't know proper names of these parts, sorry). I was hoping it was temporary, but all of the oil eventually dripped to the floor. 2. I am returning this. Not giving this any other chance because of the rubber oil plug horror. The oil plug. The freaking thing is the test of strength to BOTH unplug and plug in. The manual warns about not treating the plug too rough or it would be torn. But it is impossible to remove the plug without going rough with flat screwdriver to help. And I did my best to read the oiled manual to see if there's any intelligent way to smoothly remove the plug. None. It only tells me to unplug. No technique, no tool, no How-to from the internet. I couldn't find any video showing how they remove the rubber type oil plug. That's it. It is time to go super rough. My uncle is physically strong since he works at warehouse for most of his life, and he absolutely refuses to deal with that thing again. To push the oil plug in, I have no choice but getting a screwdriver with head around 30mm diameter (to fit in the hole on top of the plug), with a somewhat thick rug in between, to push/drill/stab the oil plug in without destroying it. It boils my blood even more when I see other models on Youtube, they make the oil plug unscrewable.

I've had this jack for over 2yrs and use it a lot, I have 8 vehicles at home it gets used, so far no complaints whatsoever, it works as good as the day it was delivered, the heaviest vehicle I have is a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer 5.0 awd, used it today to jack both front wheels up to put jack stands under to change front shocks, it had no problem doing it

Very solid. Great 3 ton jack for the price. I don't use it a lot, but needed one to work on brakes, muffler, etc. Glad I got it. Will probably use it for more things now that I have one. It's not a rapid pump jack - but that's fine. I think the pressure release comes out a little too fast with only slight turning. Would be nice for a slower drop. The rubber handle on the end turns when trying to release the pressure. I could probably tape it to keep moving when trying to turn the bar. It takes two hands to turn the bar to release the pressure, and again - you have to do it incredibly slow because the pressure releases too fast. The additional stem add-on is the main reason I bought the Jack. If I needed an extra few inches, it is very easy to swap out before jacking. Great for high and low profile cars. A huge PLUS! 8 out of 10 rating.
