I have been having trouble all summer with attracting hummingbirds, so I dumped the nectar I was using and bought this. They have been coming steady since the day I put this out. Wish I hadn’t waited until August to purchase this!!! Will buy this early next year!

The hummingbird finished one pouch in less than a week.

I decided to try this liquid nectar concentrate instead of the red powdered kind I used to use, and I immediately started getting more hummingbirds! I always dip my finger in and taste just to make absolutely sure it’s right, and this nectar seems to have more of a…floral taste, rather than just a plain sugar taste. Whatever they put in it, the birds are crazy about it. The pros are that it comes in a plastic bag with handy finger holes at the top for easy carrying, and it has a little cap on the easy pour tap. The only con (and it’s a minor one) is that it must be kept refrigerated after opening, so I usually pour my nectar into the measuring cup and let it come to room temp (or nearly so) before adding water, just so it’s not ice cold for the birds. You could also just mix room temp or lukewarm water in with it, I suppose. Sometimes I need that fridge space for food and wish it didn’t take up so much real estate there, but it’s a small sacrifice, really. :-)

It was nicely packaged and arrived in great shape. No leaks, no explosions! Thank you for caring how it arrives to our door. Love the cap to prevent dripping! Unfortunately, none of my hummers are choosing this over the sugar water. I was really hoping they'd like it. Also, I couldn't find an expiration date. Not sure if I missed something in the description or on the package, but nonetheless, it's in my fridge and I'm hoping my hummers change their mind. Maybe they're just picky. If they do end up liking it, I will come back and update my review!

A little pricey but the birds like it. My only request would be for even smaller sizes since it goes bad after being opened so smaller, cheaper packs that can be tossed would be good for the budget and environment. Maybe like big Soy Sauce packets.

This bird food is expensive, but the hummers really enjoy it.. I had to throw away a large bottle of a different brand which was cheaper, due to lack of interest with the spoiled little neighborhood birds.. With this particular brand, they seem very satisfied!
