This cap solve my check engine light issue for massive leak evap with my 05 corolla. I bought another one before this, but i didnt know that there's a difference between the 05 and 06 model of the corolla XRS. If you have an 05, this is the one that you need. Price was ok. Cheaper by $10 compared to oem... durability? Idk yet, only time will tell. Quality ain't bad, it is comparable to the OEM.

It does what it says it does for my 2005 Camry (America's second most boring car behind the Corolla). Personally, I belong to the three to four clicks school of gas cap tightening. On other days, I've been known to go real high to five clicks but three is the minimum amount though two also works well. You shouldn't tighten it with one click unless you're in a hurry because a homeless dude is approaching you at the gas pump. Then, i think one click will do. It's a very functional gas cap too. It screws in well and screws off well like most teens during summer. I recommend using a gas cap even this one. It's good to have a gas cap. The gas doesn't leak out with a gas cap, the gas fumes stay in and the gas system, a pressurized sealed system works better when it is sealed though a few summers ago I drove a car without a gas cap and nothing happened. Why is that? Of course the sock i stuffed in the hole did a good job but my brother was mad cause he had a pair of non matching socks that year. He deserved it. So, maybe you can save money and not buy a gas cap at all.

I am 76 years old and my mechanic said I needed a new fuel tank filler cap for my GX 470. I was afraid to purchase, as many reviewers said their purchase would not fit. I did finally purchase mines. It arrived and I installed, PERFECT EZ FIT!!! Thank you so much!!!

The cable that is supposed to attach itself to the fuel door does not stay put, it falls out every time. Wish I could return it.
