How far can you collapse this for storage?  Does it always remain a large circle, or does it fold to something smaller?

Hi, yes this does collapse (more of a twisting motion)  If you ever had to twist to close a car sun shield this would be more of that kind of action. 
I purchased this cape to help cut my moms hair while she is recuperating in bed.   This product is really good, it traps the hair well and the little velcro attachment on the back of the neck helps to secure it well.  My mom has said it's also comfortable to wear (not hot, not itchy).  Hope this helps.

Question 2

How do you clean it? Someone mentioned it is too large to put into a garbage bag to shake the hair off.

I found that flipping it upside down into a 33 gallon garbage bag is not a problem.  If you have a smaller bag, then I leaned it to one side so the hair would fall to that side.  Tapping gently underneath it moves the hair to one side, and then slide into trash.  Cleanup is a simple hosing in the shower and then drip dry.  Hope this helps!

where is this product made?

Barbara ... I wish I could help you with your question; however, there is no label anywhere to be found that would indicate where this product was made.  I will tell you that if you purchase this product or one like it, pay attention to how it is packaged when you receive it.  I did not pay attention and cannot figure out how this thing can be folded up and put in the package so that it takes up far less space.  Other than that, this product does the job it was intended to do.
