Grandpa Gus's Rodent Repellent Spray, Natural Peppermint Oil, 16 Fl Oz

I was dealing with mice in our crawlspace and decided to give Grandpa Gus's Rodent Repellent Spray a try. I love that it uses natural essential oils instead of harsh chemicals, so it actually smells pleasant to humans while completely keeping the pests away. Since spraying it, I hasn't seen a single sign of mice. It is super easy to use, safe around my pets, and incredibly effective. Highly recommend!

Squirrels do not like this stuff. I sprayed it around a jeep that I drive once a week in the summer and the Squirrels aren't climbing on or under the hood now.

There are no mice nesting in my glove box or chomping on my ignition wires yet, so far. That’s why I bought it on a recommendation. It keeps them out of the music files in the garage, too. I’m thinking there are other uses around a horse farm since it’s non toxic and smells like peppermint.I should keep a journal.

I got this in hopes it would deter squirrels, chipmunks and possibly skunks away from my garden. I realize this might be more intended for small crevices like crawl spaces and small spaces along foundation and around walls but I wanted to use something that doesn’t harm the environment and or injure animals. I applied this in the evening, the ground was not wet and it didn’t rain overnight. I sprayed it on the sides of my potted plants, the perimeter of my garden, the edging and the ground between my plants and flowers. The squirrels and a local skunk had eaten the ears from 18 stalks of corn from a raised bed previously before the application and I had 4 stalks that I had planted at the end of my plot directly in the ground. This product said it’s safe for plants. I sprayed the ground around the remaining stalks and I sprayed the leaves and stalk up until the lowest ear in the evening. Well it didn’t matter. The next morning the remaining ears were all eaten. I certainly think this was a squirrel as one wanted to bring the feast back to their tree as I see the mostly eaten cob at the base of the tree a few yards away. It does have a potent scent I could smell for about 30 mins in the air and I did NOT dilute it. The first 2 seasons I planted corn maybe I would lose 4 ears maximum to chipmunks. This year they completely wiped me out. We didn’t get to try any of them. I don’t live in an area with other food sources-neighbor bird feeders, plenty of vegetation around FYI-some of the product must have misted onto my arm as I began to see a mild rash. I rinsed with soap and water and it went away. I’ll hang onto it to apply as the temps get cooler in the fall to deter any chipmunks or mice from coming inside but it want successful even short term from deterring them. They were literally walking over it and spending time where I saturated the ground.

Good stuff! We have issues with rodents making nests in the engine of our car (which is parked outside). My husband was using just a peppermint spray he found at CVS. It seemed to work, but he had to reapply often. He said the Grandpa Gus's seems to be working because he is not seeing any "active" nest building so far. He's used it about a week or so ago. I think the peppermint combined with the cinnamon rally helps to deter the little critters.

So I have been dealing with rats in my laundry room that have been eating only my dogs food that sits right outside the laundry room door in the kitchen. They apparently have gotten smarter than the glue or snap traps. I was frustrated with what else I could possibly do. I bought this product and it's been less than a week since I've used it. I've seen no sign of rats or even heard them! I was skeptical honestly but it actually ran the rats off! Thank you! Because this product has ingredients that can be toxic to dogs when they're around large amounts, I would suggest keeping the dog out of the room until product dries. My dog has done fine.

This product has been used in our barn that houses our RV and it works very good to keep the mice away. It also smells great!

too expensive does not last long
