Ever cut into a nicely baked potato to find a raw core? That's what these gadgets take care of. They transfer heat into the center of the potato (or sweet potato) to bake it completely. As a bonus, the potatoes cook faster!You insert these rods into the potato with a screwing or back & forth motion - don't try to push them straight in! I'm so glad I bought these. I wasn't sure about them since I previously had the nail shapes. But these are so much better. They are a little longer than my old ones (which were tossed during my kitchen remodel). More importantly, they are very easy to remove.

Love my new potato rods! I stick them thru any type of potato, poke holes in potato with fork, spray with butter flavored cooking spray, add a little salt and Airfry for 25-30Minutes and then check for doneness. YUM!

Good value, having a decent number of these helps to bake lots of potatoes at once. Easily removed too because of their 'tent peg' design - might come in handy as spare tent pegs too, essentially that seems to be what they are (but they work well to bake potatoes).

I don't understand, when you do a baked potato you want something metal, if in the oven, not microwave, obviously, to go through it to cook it inside. We seem incapable of producing these in the UK. These had to come from China!

They truly work, especially on larger potatoes, and a firmer potato variety like Yukon Gold. Light & fluffy all the way through & I have found it saves 10-15 minutes in the oven when cooking.
