I seem to be sharpening my knives more often than I expected. While I like the color of this sharpener, I'm not crazy about it, and will be looking for something else.

Sharp knives in three swipes!
I used to use a handheld bar-type sharpener that came with my knives. It worked fine, but when I tried this I stopped using the bar-type one and switched to this.Simply put: in three swipes the knife is sharp. Six swipes if it is very dull; three for periodic maintenance. I was able to sharpen 4 knives I use daily in under 2 minutes. With the bar-type sharpener it would take be a couple minutes for each knife to get it just right.I found it to be very sturdy and easy to use. I don't really know why you would want to remove the sharpener area, but you can. My only minor gripe is that it does take up more space than my original bar-type sharpener. In my case, the drawer is already full, so I need to find another place to stash it.Great for your RV, camping kit, and everyday kitchen use.I received a free sample of this product to evaluate and provide an unbiased review.

Best sharpener I have ever owned! :D
I got the sharpener this Saturday. I didn't expect too much from it based on how much I paid for it. After I sharpened my favorite knife and tried to cut the meat I was going to cook that evening, I was surprised by how sharp the knife was! Originally, my knife was dull but now, it's as sharp as the first day i got it! The sharpener grabs the counter top very nice. The handle is very comfortable. I don't think it is very necessary to have a wipe cloth because I will just rinse and use the knife. It is not necessary to wipe it. I didn't get the chance to try the ceramic one because I don't have a ceramic knife. I believe I will get the chance to use it in the future. This sharpener is the best one i had ever have. Safe and so easy to use, most importantly, it worked extremely well!
