1) Tray / Pick Holders + 2) Hub
Gear Tray is just the right music stand accessory for which I've been looking, particularly as it includes two built-in Pick Holders. (Without such an accessory, I recently lost a couple picks after playing my mandolin-tuned instrument at an event.)Convenient is the fact that the Gear Tray and related Universal Hub are sold individually. This way, buying the entire Accessory System (including Cup Holder and Tip Jar) is NOT necessary; buying only the desired components is possible.

Unusable without a $20 part that is not included.
Cannot connect the tray to the stand without a "universal" adapter.There was no notice with the tray's description that such an adapter was necessary.Very misleading. Very disappointed.

Great addition to mic stand
D'Addario always makes great stuff, and this shelf is no exception. I use it to keep harmonicas handy while playing and singing. Other reviewers have noted the the actual clamp to affix it to a stand has to be purchased separately, so read product details carefully. (I ordered both, so all worked fine upon arrival.) Next on my wishlist is the cup holder!

Additional Parts Required
Despite being shown in the photos, this unit does not come with what they call the “Universal Hub”, which is the piece required to actually attach this to a mic stand. I see now that, in the description, it says “sold separately”, but I didn’t understand at the time of purchase what the “universal hub” was. I realize now it’s the mic stand clamp. This is not necessarily a criticism, just an advisory statement to future buyers.

No mounting bracket-sold separately-why?
This seems to be a decent product, but I think it’s real shady that the company offers the Tray without a bracket to attach it to the stand… You have to buy that separate… Why would you offer a product, that is supposed to be mounted to a stand, without the actual mounting bracket to accompany it… That is shady business

Worked out great for me
Glad I could go on Amazon and find this separate item to the set I know have. I broke the connection ears off the tray not be careful removing the tray from the tube element. So only need this tray. Thank you for having separate items to the complete set

It doesn’t come with the effing Mount.
Someone please tell me why this tray does not come with a mount. There are zero ways you can use this thing without the mount. It should just automatically come with this tray and the rest of the accessories it should be add-ons. Absolutely ridiculous. I was hoping to use this for a gig tomorrow but now the other part won’t be here in time.
