... helpful hints here if you want to make a good impression at a trade show
Some helpful hints here if you want to make a good impression at a trade show. It seems geared more toward trade shows where selling actually takes place. The author does a good job explaining a methodical approach to turning your trade show presence into dollars and cents. It is actually exciting to read and gets you pumped up. Who doesn't like being a guerrilla? The shows I go to are more for networking, education and developing contacts with industry players. Nobody signs up on the spot. Although there is nothing wrong in trying because ya never know. But still I got a lot out of it that helped elevate my comportment at trade shows and stir up interest and that's what it's all about. I'd also recommend this book if you're doing your first trade show and you don't know what to expect, not only will this book take away the mystery, you will be more informed about how to conduct your business at a show than anyone else, and people will notice that.

Good Info
This book helped out with a few issues I was having with understanding the aspects of wholesale trade shows. I am a newbie when it comes to trades show selling, though the company I work for is not so new to it. I just wanted a little more understanding and training to feel a little more prepared for the experience. Though this book seemed a little more geared toward sales that do not directly reflect the industry I currently work for (clothing), it had some strong points and I have passed it on to my bosses who have regarded the book as a useful tool.

Great book
This is a great book for trade show participants. Lots of ideas and plenty of inside scoop on what to expect. I recommend it to anyone thinking of participating in a show. Levinson is really good at what he does. Guerrilla marketing at it's best. Wish he would update the book as it was written in the last century and things have changed substantially since it was first offered.

Easy and useful suggestions.
Very useful tips. I put them into practice last weekend at a fair! So many things we don't think about.

This Reviewer missed the boat!
The review above who said, "Only for a 'small business' with a BIG business budget" completely missed the boat. Guerrilla Trade Show Selling is packed with creative ideas that you can use to increase your sales at trade shows, no matter WHAT your budget may be.Even if you are a one-person business staffing a card table at a county fair, this book can help you avoid the most common costly mistakes (like dealing with shippers and unions) improve your location (just by asking) gather more high-quality leads (by keeping good records) and close more sales (by properly following up). NONE of these strategies cost a cent, and the potential payoff is huge.

Guerrilla is a must read
This is a well organized "how to" book with manyvery useful instructions, warnings and tips. A very valuable read when preparing for a conference or trade show. I was never bored. Sections are clearly labeled so I was able to skip over pages of information which did not apply to my interest. Of six books I skimmed on trade shows, this was the best.

Guerrilla Trade Show Selling
This is a great resource! Our team booked over 200 qualified sales leads at our tradeshow with nothing more than the information from this book. So far with the follow up process we have closed 40% of the leads. The only way this book won't work for you is if you won't work the tactics!

Plenty of cool tips
As with most of the Guerrilla series, this book is useful and fun to read. I picked up some tips that have way more than saved me the price of the book.
