Best, sturdiest mesh strainers stand up to rough use. Purchased big name brand that easily bent mesh and broke at handle joints.

These look sturdy in the pictures, but they are very flimsy. The largest one bends with very little weight applied. One thing that isn't as easy to see in the pictures is that the mesh is quite coarse. My old strainer (that broke) had a much finer/tighter weave. I returned them.
