So easy to put together and very sturdy. I love that u can pick it up and carry by the handles in and outside. The top locks so you can let your tortoises bask in the sun outside without worrying about other animals bothering them. Also good for travel. I can fit my 4 tortoises in 1 ( they're small) if I decide to take them to a cookout or something in the summer. It's also good for inside and you can easily add a basking/heat lamp.

Pretty decent, great size for my Russian tortoise, he seems happy. Easy to clean and tend the tortoise. I recommend! :)

Update: December 6, 2022Spoke to Amazon customer service rep, he was very friendly and helpful, and understood that cedar wood is toxic to reptiles - he understands now that the the seller is misrepresenting the product saying it’s made of FIR wood. He also read other reviews to me on the phone where a person put a tortoise in this box and it died from the wood fumes. They are pulling this item from Amazon. I took item to UPS drop off. Amazon is giving me a refund based on this product being toxic, dangerous, and not as described in the ad. Thank you——————————————Purchased the large enclosure for $159 in November 2022.So many things wrong with this item.1) arrived broken- person at the factory clearly busted the cheap wood when adding the screw- see pictures- I had to remove piece bits, then glue and tape together.2) hinges are cheap junk- and applied crooked. See pics. Will need to upgrade to better/ more durable quality hinges and put them on level- if buyer keeps this piece of junk.3)MAIN PROBLEM- this is CEDAR!! Not Fir wood as stated in the production description. Cedar is toxic to reptiles. We opened the box, was nearly knocked out by the powerful smell. Left this in our attached garage of our home for over 2 weeks, smell barely dissipated.. we put 2 Red Footed Tortoises in this box after a couple weeks trying to air out cedar wood smell. Within a couple days, they appeared to have breathing issues., and their behavior changed drastically . we removed them and bought a different non-wood product. And they are doing fine now. Thank God!4) There are creases/ cracks in the bottom of this item, to allow for tray removal. Because there are cracks, any substrate added will fall in cracks, and go to the floor of your room. Also- can potentially mold in the creases if the substrate is kept damp for humidity levels depending on the reptile needs. We had to take silver duct tape and seal all sides of the bottom where the walls meet the flooring .. to stop substrate from going through cracks or getting stuck and possibly molding.. this also prevents the opportunity to remove the tray for cleaning.. this item is a categorical disaster. I would not take this item if it was free.Lastly, it doesn’t matter to us because we are returning this item since it’s toxic to reptiles.. but this item is not expandable- because of the removable tray option. So do not purchase this with the intention of buying another one too expander size lighter… It won’t work.PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM FOR REPTILES- THEY WILL GET SICK. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT SAFE!!Calling Amazon CSD now. Trying to get a refund.

Yet turned out a little quirky. But it works and it housing my baby tortoise just fine. Will be using for a long time. Would recommend.

This tortoise house is perfect! Our juvenile Russian tortoise loves it. She spends most of her time in the enclosed part of the house, where she dug up the plastic lining we stapled in. The coconut substrate seeps through the cracks!!! We are likely going to have to put some type of clear adhesive glue in the cracks to avoid this issue--probably on the outside of the house.

The product serves the purpose for what we bought it for, however it is a little jankity, and the quality wood is basically as brittle as what kids would use at karate class. $65 would be a better price point.

Product is amazing, it was easy to assemble and sturdy, perfect enclosure for tortioses, mine absolutely loves it and utilizes every inch of the enclosure
