Makes beautiful curls! Love it!
I have long fine hair. (Bra strap length) I have used curling irons and hot rollers. Both achieve minimal results with curls that go straight in minutes. I did have a slight learning curve with this tool. My one complaint is the instructions. I think they explain how to use it poorly. If you are new to using a flat iron to curl your hair, here’s what I recommend: if you want curls that go away from your face. (I’m right handed).1) Place your thumb behind the on/off button. This will allow you to see the word Furiden when looking in the mirror. Be sure your fingers are no further forward than the lights indicating the temperature setting. This will keep you having a loose grip so you don’t clamp down too hard. You don’t need to clamp hard just firm enough to keep the hair from falling out of the iron.2). Place the section of hair you want to curl between the plates. I recommend smaller sections in the beginning, especially if your hair is hard to curl.3. With the hair slightly clamped you should be able to see the side of the iron where there is a visible line showing the two plates touching. This is your starting position. The other “line side” should be directed towards your head.4. If curling on the right side of your head… when looking in the mirror your arm placement should look like this….your elbow should be out but pointing down enough so that the angle of the iron is at a slant. Visualize a triangle from the edge of your eyebrow to the end of your elbow and back towards your body. This angle of the iron is key.5. Rotate the iron away from your face so that the hair that was hanging down naturally flips up and over the iron . In the beginning it’s easier if you grab the hair that flips over and hold on to it to help keep some tension as you slide the iron slowly down. The slower you go… the better the curl. Use the lowest heat setting for your hair type.6. As you slide the flat iron down your hair it should slide easily. If not, you are clamping it too hard. (Light but firm grip is all you need.) As you slide the flat iron down your hair remember this key point …..you want to be pulling the flat iron tool down your hair but in a direction that is moving TOWARD the mirror. If you tend to turn your head when curling your hair… make sure you keep your head STRAIGHT not turned when you are pulling the tool down your hair. When you curl the hair further back on your head, the same rules apply.7. When you curl the left side, your arm placement will be slightly different (again still right handed). This time your elbow will be up high so that you can ensure the flat iron is at an angle. Remember the flat iron should be at angle like a pitched roof . When looking in the mirror you would see an apex (top of a triangle) when you look at the end of the flat iron and then follow it to the top of your hand and then out to your elbow. Do NOT drop your elbow or you won’t keep the angle needed.. As you move the tool toward the mirror, the movement would be similar to reaching back to pull the hood of your sweatshirt up and over your head. Almost like you are ducking under your own arm.For the left side the same rules apply when you pull the flat iron through your hair. Slide it down your hair but move the flat iron TOWARD the mirror, while keeping your head straight. This true even if you are curling the hair towards the back of your head. Remember, the slower you slide the flat iron the better the result.8. No matter which side you are curling, try to keep the flat iron closer to your head. Resist the temptation to move the flat iron out away from your head on either side. If you don’t it will straighten your hair instead of curling it. This is why some people can curl the right side but not the left. They’re pulling the tool too far away from their head as they pull down.9. Don’t touch your hair much for a good 5-10 minutes after you curl it. Let it cool/set or you will ruin all your work. Be patient.Remember:1 Keep the angle2 Always keep your head straight looking into the mirror when pulling the flat iron through your hair.3. Remember right side elbow down. Left side elbow up.4. Pull down slowly without clamping down hard.5. Move the flat iron toward the mirror as you pull it through your hair.6. Keep the flat iron close to your head as you move it through your hair.7. Don’t touch your hair too much. Let it cool.Practice these tips and you will be able to curl your hair. Use a heat protectant on your hair especially if you have fine hair like me. Don’t use hair gel or mousse if you have fine hair, as it will weigh your hair down. A TINY bit of finishing spray is all you need before you curl. Then, after you have the desired look use some more finishing spray.

Works beautifully
I've had this for a few months and I'm OBSESSED. I've owned a few other really pricy brands that fried my hair and I was looking for one that could give me the soft curls too, and this works PERFECTLY for that too. The temperature settings are accurate and helpful and it really does heat up faster than any other heat element I've ever owned. Its worth like 4x its price tag if you ask me. Just bought one for the bestie too and she's obsessed. Believe the positive reviews on this one i promise! I combed through reviews for like a month before I finally just tried this one and I'm so glad I did.Update****** its now several months later and I'm still obsessed. Best straightener ever!!

Better than Chi for a 3rd of the price!
As someone who's owned 2 Chi hair straighteners I will admit I was absolutely skeptical purchasing this but with Amazon being so awesome about returns I figured it would be worth a shot. The design is very simple & sleek & was packaged very nicely. Super simple to use & straightens my curly hair in 1-2 runs depending on how much hair I grab. My hair is straight, soft, shiny & looks better than it did before using this product! The price is amazing & I'll never waste money on a Chi again!!!

Easy to use for beginners.
I am just learning how to style and do my hair. This flat iron/curling iron is ah-mazing! The design makes really pretty curls and makes flattening your hair super easy. I was always intimidated with curls and couldnt figure them out; they put a step by step tutorial inside the box that shows you how to do waves and curls. I used to always be worried about my ear area and my daughter using it too because of burns. The round design on the outside makes it so you can get really close to your ears and scalp with no burns. It heats up faster than any curling iron I have ever used which is important because I have kiddos and am a full time college student. I definitely will be buying more products.

Love it!
I bought this product because I was looking for a straightener that would also help me make waves in my hair. This product is perfect for both things. What I like most is that it is light and very easy to handle. The waves are very easy to make. and they look beautiful, it was definitely a great purchase, I recommend it 100%.

Disappointing
This device is pretty and that’s where the positive stops. Product video shows holding the open end and many of the reviews praise the cool-enough-to-hold outside. It is not. I have several wands that can, in fact, be touched without gloves, but this is not one. The plates are narrow and not long at all. Does not clamp down evenly and to do that it really needs the second hand holding the end/front. There’s some side-to-side wiggle too so the plates may or may not be perfectly aligned on top of each other. The price is low enough, but, in my opinion, an item that doesn’t accomplish its intended purpose is not worth any amount.
