R18P-0 18V ONE+ Cordless Polisher (Battery & Charger Excluded)

Very good polisher, I mean very good for the money, battery life is a little short unless using a 4ah or above but it really does work well, The pads it comes with are medium quality but the unit itself is a 9/10 and well worth it for any enthusiast or someone not confident with a rotary yet.

This ryobi polisher is an excellent upgrade to my car cleaning equipment as I take my car to shows. Used properly it leaves a beautiful finish on the paint work. Extremely good at removing scratches long battery life and great speed control. Great value for the money

Good quality and easy to use. Could do with help and guidance on which pad is best for each job, e.g. applying and polishing, etc

I brought this to remove defects and scratches from my previous company vehicle prior to its return and I wish I had brought it sooner! Very easy to use and adjust the speed when using, it comes with 3 pads of which I have only currently used 1. I would assume that the additional pads would allow you to use different polish grades on the same vehicle without waiting for the pads to dry after rinsing them. Battery is not included which is something to consider but if you are purchasing this I would assume that you also have Ryobi tools like myself, so you can simply use a battery from those. Ryobi tools are very durable in my opinion, so I wouldn't expect any issues. This is slightly higher in price when compared to a cheaper, corded polisher but I wouldn't recommend the alternatives from lesser known, or completely unknown suppliers, or corded options for that matter where you will continuously be conscious of where that cable is and keeping it away from the panel in question.

Had a few machine polishers over the years however never a cordless one and my word, it's so much easier to use. The freedom is great, smooth in operation little bit noisy however only at max speed. Couple of fully charged Ryobi batteries and you'll get round a car easily. I single staged the roof, tailgate, bonnet, drivers side wing, door and rear quarter, passenger rear quarter before my 5AH battery died. Completed the rest with my 2AH. Pads that come with this are really good quality also, similar to my Menzerna ones. For the money it's amazing. If you're into car care your paintwork shouldn't need a 2 - 3 correction anyway, which this would struggle to do. Highly recommended for any paintwork enhancement.

I may be a bit biased as I am pretty heavily invested in the Ryobi range. I have been struggling with lettering from an old sign on my van showing up. Hand polishing just didn't seem to do the job as they kept coming back after a while. I did a quick 3 minute job using this buffer on one area to test it. The panel has never looked so shiny since I bought it and the letters haven't come back after 4 months. I have done 3 panels on the van back in Oct then the weather turned and work got in the way. I can't wait till the weather is nice again and I can do the rest of the van. It is very easy to use. Feels pretty balanced and I didn't feel any strain using it for 15 minutes non stop. Seems to be pretty good on batteries and the included pads did a good job and were very easy to clean. I am extremely happy with this one.
