I was in the mood for a little nostalgia so I ordered C. Howards gum. Reminded me of my childhood days. Still has that great taste. I was so gluttonous I ate a whole bag in a day. Then ordered two more bags.

CHOWARDS has been around for years, the flavor of these little guys is GREAT!!!! IT'S A MUST TRY!!!!

I have been eating these mints since I was in junior high. I have bought the individual packs, but I do like the small individual mints, maybe even more so than the packs. The violet mints are an acquired taste, but I myself love the taste. Might also be the reason I love black licorice anything.

I love Choward's Violet candies. They have a nice, mild and pleasant flavor. I like the individual wrapped candies. Easy to take anywhere.

Choward’s violets taste unlike anything you have ever had, yet they are instantly recognizable as tasting like violet flowers. This is the first I was aware they made candy mints in this flavor. I have previously only seen them almost exclusively sold in the NYC subway news stands, and only in the format of chewing gum. They are sold as chiclets type pieces of gum that taste exactly the same as the violet candy mints (only the gum lasts longer). The violet flavor is a powerful breath saver and a nice change from the tired old spearmint, wintergreen mint stuff. If you forget and leave one in your pocket, your laundry may smell like spring flowers.

I decided to try these because the Chowards mints that came in the 15 pack kept crumbling and leaving a mess in my pocket (a nice smelling mess). These mints are individualy wrapped so I don't have to worry about them doing that. I don't think they taste the same as the square shaped mints. They are not as sweet and perfumey. I don't have that violet taste lingering in my mouth after I eat them. They are also harder. It is almost like you have to let them dissolve in your mouth instead of biting them. They are still good but I am going to go back to purchasing the square mints because I like those better.

Great gift

I've eaten these mints since I was in second grade back in early 1980s. And now that I am a grandma I STILL eat these! They're my favorite and will make your breath smell good for hours. Yummy candy! Highly recommend if you or someone you know has halotosis or not.

So delicious. Very floral and tastes like true violet. Leaves my breath sweetly scented.

These aren’t for everyone. I love them. They are a taste from my youth when I used to buy something similar at a famous candy shop in Banff, AB. You love them or you hate them. Some say they taste like soap. I don’t agree.
