This cute little lighthouse brown sugar saver reminds me of home. Maine! How I miss the quaint small towns and being able to leave your car keys in an unlocked car and surprise it was always there whether it was a few minutes or a few days. You could leave your house windows on the bottom floor open all night and the door unlocked with no alarm system and no intruders. I also got a gorgeous sand dollar one to remind me of the quiet days at the ocean. I got a gorgeous dolphin from this same company as well. I also got one of a moose from this company. Saw money of them in the quaint friendly state of Maine. All the brown sugar savers are beautiful!

So I was hopeful, but skeptical about how this would work. I live in a dry climate and haven't been able to keep my brown sugar from drying out. Yesterday I added the soaked disc to my brown sugar bag which consisted of one big fist-sized rock of sugar. Just checked it less than 24 hrs later and I have soft scoopable brown sugar! I'm so excited. Hopefully it will keep it this way for awhile.

When I found these I was quite excited. My brown sugar tends to get hard no matter how quickly I try to use it, so this sounded perfect. I followed the instructions and soaked the bears in water as directed. They even sat longer than directed because I forgot about them. After I put them in the brown sugar, instead of keeping it soft, what I noticed was the area near the disks were actually white and hard. This was the same in both my dark and light brown sugar. They had the opposite effect of what they were intended to do. I pulled them out scooped out the area and went back to the way things were. Save your money.

A very simple solution to an age-old problem. Been using this for quite some time now, and it keeps the sugar soft and easy to use. Be sure to follow the instruction to soak it for a while in water. And I re-soak it every once in a while when I'm in the sugar. Just to make sure it keeps working as I need it to.Well worth the price. Brown sugar can become harder than cement. This will spare you that.Highly recommended!

I purchased this just to give it a try. I really did not expect it to work. I had a box of brown sugar I figured I would have to toss because it was hard enough to use as a weapon. I put the ‘brick’ into a ziplock freezer bag along with the disc. It only took about a day to work its magic. The brown sugar is as soft as new. This is a must-have for the pantry.

I bought this last semester because the jar I had for brown sugar in my dorm was rather large, and I was running into issues with it drying out.It worked great for a while, and then when the semester ended and I had to head home, I packed up all of my kitchen stuff in my dorm and promptly forgot about it for four months. Just got back to college and opened up my sugar container - my brown sugar was STILL soft four months later, even with room for air! I fully attribute it to this lovely sugar saver as before my sugar was drying out constantly. Very impressed!

Nothing against the seller of this item, it just didn't work for me. I followed directions and put it in the brown sugar as it said, only to open up the Tupperware container at a later date to find my brown sugar was all clumped up around this product which is supposed to keep it from doing that. I had no problem returning it.

Cute designs, but cracked after 1 use. I returned this item and am purchasing the thicker bear.
