This drive is far better than the ones you see from a more prominent seller. The "other" drive won't handle the lower density disks - 7.44K ones. This one does, it works GREAT! And, even though the instructions don't mention Macs, it worked just fine with no drivers required on my Mac (Mavericks). I highly recommend this drive! Note that it appears to ship from overseas, I got mine much faster than the expected delivery. Very pleased with this purchase.

It's true it does not allow for every floppy disk to be read like others have warned about in their reviews. However, it does do the job that I wanted it to do and that was to pull old forgotten pictures off it, even if the process is slow because floppy's only hold so many pictures at a time. Also it won't read a picture for instance if the transfer has an error. Still, I would recommend it to others who are looking to retrieve old pics and yes I'm running Windows 10 but there wasn't a problem with the 2 component's working together as along as an error doesn't occur during the transfer of info from the old computer to the floppy.

I received the suggestion to try the floppy disk and installation program on another system, using an operating system lower than Windows 10. WELL--- I wouldn't have this problem if I owned another system with any operating system. They offered to refund my money, and YES, I would like all of my money refunded!!!!!!!!Tell me how to ship this floppy disk free of charge to me and I will gladly give it all back to themYours truly,Angela Pritchard

My husband had the Lotus program in an older computer..that he worked with for over 25 yrs...then recently the componet to put the floppy disk in stopped working and he could no longer ...being an old accountant....enter the data to the spreadsheets he has worked with for managing our accounts.etc...was very happy to find this on amazon to be able to work around the trouble he was having...and he is VERY happy also...thank you again...

It's great, and not just for the price. It does what it's supposed to and it's got a nice slick matte look with no logos or branding, aside from the sticker label underneath. Plus it arrived in 10 days instead of the long estimated delivery time, which was about a month or so.

It works! An awesome addition to my Windows 8 computer workstation. It may have been declared an obsolete technology but my dozens of information-laden 1.44 disks demand attention and this product is helping me attend to them.

not too much to get excited about. works well as it is advertised, but it is just a floppy drive. I would recommend this product.

It worked perfectly when I first plugged it in. Couldn't be more pleased.
