These Dice Are Metal AF!
This purchase was a tough decision for me. On the one hand, I own SOOO many Chessex dice another set seemed unnecessary. On the other, metal dice are weightier and cooler looking. Plus, these are from Paladin Roleplaying, and my YouTube channel's name is JD Paladin. In the end, the pros beat the cons, and I splurged, and they arrived today. So, without further ado, here we go:When it arrived, the tim had a small, barely noticeable dent. Rather than being in a super-obvious place, it was in the top left corner of the lid, and counts as more of a depression, really. Upon opening the lid, I found the lid's protective rubber piece had settled into the lower tin and, not having even medium length fingernails, required a thin, flat object to pry out. A nuisance, to be sure, but not aggravating.Them, the dice themselves were revealed. Mein Gott, were they beautiful. The metal sheen, the etched numbers with black enameling... a joy to behold. From a display standpoint, they should display with their highest numerical values on top, as if to show off the great rolls you are going to enjoy with tgem. Sadly, they weren't all displayed this way. Then I get to the d6. 5/6 sides were flawless. But tge 1 side, in the right light, seems as if it has seen some use. But, like the d10's, the smoothed-over edges make for ease of rolling. The heft on these dice is noticeable. My estimation is these dice weigh at least 6x the weight of a standard Chessex die. This means with what sharp corners and points there are, if you roll on an unprotected wood surface, you're going to mark the table. Lucky for me, I use fame mats and dice trays anyway, so that worry is moot for me.And finally, the size. While the other dice work with aplomb in a Meeple knockdown dice tower, the d20 does not. This is due to the size of the die being a slightly larger gague than the Chessex d20's. But it rolls well under other circumstances, and hasn't yet seemed to have any negative feel to it.Small nitpicking aside, these dice are amazing. As a Paladin myself, I can honestly say thatthese dice more than show they are worth the cost alone. They look great, feel great, AND give you a grand weapon when the dice start flying at the table. Plus, as a Paladin, they're on brand, which is important to me. As Tycho Brahe always says, "Always be branding!"

Beautiful set of metal dice for your favorite tabletop gamer...
I got these as a gift for a gamer, and I must say - It's a beautiful set of metal dice I'm now planning on re-acquiring for my own occasional use. It's a beautiful set of metal dice for your favorite tabletop gamer... Or maybe that gamer is you. ;-)Metal dice throw differently than the plastic ones you're used to, so bear in mind to not throw them too forcefully and that a rolling mat or tray is a must-have if you play on a nice wood surface (and don't want it covered in micro-dents). That being said, a friend had a metal set at a recent get-together and I found I really preferred the heft and feel of them, so long as I reign my inner ogre in a bit when 'throwing down'. This is a far nicer set than he had, though.Seller also sent a nice mail shortly after purchase offering help should anything appear amiss with the product, etc. that was a nice touch, though completely unnecessary because the dice are just perfect. A tactile pleasure to use, easy to read, and nearly indestructible, metal dice generally I find a step up from the starter gear most of us use most of the time, and specifically this set has an aesthetic I prefer over a number of others I looked at first. When your edges start rounding off, replace your old dice with one of these; You won't regret it.

Not a quality dice set, but excellent customer service!
Overall I am quite disappointed in this dice set. The heft and size of the set are excellent, but the quality control is distinctly lacking. When you pay this much for a set of dice, quality is not an unacceptable standard. Of the 7 dice in the set, I would say 4 of them were of the quality I anticipated. The others had the occasional small nick along an edge, or in the case of the d12, is appears that the press for the numbers 10 and 11 were too forceful and you can see a slight square indentation all the way around those numbers. These flaws would be more or less forgivable if the set were at a price that reflects the mediocre attention to quality control, but not at what they're asking. Then we come to the case and the d20.The case itself has an approximately 1 inch shallow dent near one corner. If this were dented outward from a badly seated die inside, it would be one thing, but this is a dent from the outside, like someone dropped it or placed something heavy on it. And then the d20, the edging on this die is the worst of the lot. One edge of the 20 face starts clean and brisk like you'd want the edge and halfway across mellows into a smooth curve. I can't imagine that such a defect won't affect the randomization.Overall this could have been a great set, but fell far short. Very disappointing.EDIT! I was emailed by the seller who apologized for the issue that I had (you can read a copy of his email in the comment of my review) and is issuing me a refund (I'll followup in this edit once confirmed). The dice may have been a disappointment, but the customer service is clearly top drawer. I'm up-ing my review a star to reflect their response to my situation. That kind of customer service should not go unrecognized and I appreciate that they would act so quickly. Thank you Neil.

Great quality and beautiful craftsmanship!
My husband wanted silver dices but when I saw this set I just needed to get them for him. He is in such a happy mood after rolling them. So far they are compatible and role well for him. He says that the weight and feeling of the dices are really nice.

ALMOST PERFECT. Except 1 die.
The media could not be loaded. Lets start with the visual. Exactly what i wanted from the photo. The weight is good. But now the bad. The tin that holds is dented. Not an issue to me. The four die is wrong. WHICH is detrimental for it use. But i can still use it. I just have to look at the other faces to see what it really is. Sigh. Almost perfect.

SImply the best I have ever owned.
Where do I start? My favourite purchase of the year. This set of dice are beautiful in every sense. A well crafted minimalist design with clean lines and bold easy to read numbers. A finish that feels good in the hand and a weight that will have me denting many-a-table in the coming years.Speaking of the weight, I have found in the past that heavy dice such as these roll terribly and just thud down on to the table, these however roll surprisingly well, I can only put that down to the quality of the craftsmanship that has gone into manufacturing them.Yes they are a little on the expensive side, or so I thought, I did hesitate before clicking the buy button, but I have no regrets at all. The quality of the product and the company are plain to see and worth every penny. The follow up customer service email was a pleasant and welcome touch as well. I have a new favourite place to purchase all of my future dice and its Paladin Roleplaying!

Awesome Dice
Spent a long time looking for the right metal dice after playing with a friends and loving the weight and feel of them. After much debate I settled on the Silver dice from Paladin, and have not (despite the odd critical fail) regretted it one bit!I got the set in the metal presentation case, which is itself contained in a good quality soft draw string bag. The pressed steel case has a good quality foam insert with spaces for all the dice that stop them from bashing against each other as if they were loose in a bag.The dice themselves are very well made with no imperfections and good clear numbers etched slightly into the surface before painting. The overall finish on them is a nice brushed metal that coupled to a weight that is gram perfect provides a really good feeling in the hand. The balance is also extremely good, I've read a lot of reviews of other dice complaining about them being badly balanced, I can't complain about any of this set at all. Every dice roles well with a satisfying sound in the dice tray - which is a must with these, otherwise you might as well say goodbye to your table as they make quite an impact...Overall awesome dice and I would truly recommend them.

Amazing dice and customer service
Great presentation of dice and well weighted also.Numbers are easy to read and they are easy to roll.Only issues are that the inside foam was damaged apon arrival and there is an all scratches on the dice.Once I've been in contact with the seller I will edit my review accordingly as I gave heard their customer service is brilliant.*EDIT*I sent Neil a message in regards to the dice coming damaged and without all the mucking around he offered to send me out another set completely free of charge. He was very polite and considerate.I will be recommending this company to all of my D&D companions because the customer service is on another level. Well done Paladin roleplaying. Spot on customer care and products.

Not bad but not perfect
I was looking to treat myself to a set of metal dice and I spent a long time looking at options, as money is tight at the moment. I eventually settled on these, as they had glowing reviews about customer service but also the dice themselves. The description also sounded great. They arrived promptly, as you come to expect with Amazon Prime items. The packaging and presentation is nice, with the tin and the back these go into. My tin did arrive with a couple of dents in but nothing major, and I wasn't so bothered about the tin.The dice themselves are really nice - lovely weight to them, however there are a few things I was a bit disappointed with:1. The first thing I noticed is that these dice, though obviously still metal, are given their final finish with some sort of heavy duty lacquer/paint. This wasn't something I saw mentioned in the description. It gives a very different finish to actual metal, more glossy. This probably won't bother most people, however I was quite keen to have a really metal finish/feel.2. I may have just been unlucky with my set, but because of the outside coating, there are a number of small blemishes. Some edges have a bit of a ridge where the coating built up, others have small dents or chips in the finish. I'm sure it's a very hard-wearing finish, as the listing says, however that doesn't help if it arrives with chips or dents in.3. Some of the edges on my d20 are nice and defined whilst others are noticeably flattened. As well as potentially impacting the fairness of a roll, this really affects the aesthetic of the dice, which matters to me as I hoped to display them on my desk.Overall, I may have had a lemon but these weren't quite as great quality as the listing and reviews had led me to expect. These are still quite nice dice and if you're not too much of a perfectionist then you'll love the weight and feel of them.
