I recently did a review on this and would like to add regarding my experience to help you. After the third day of 5 times a day doing this... alot of the gunk of the post nasal drip stuff I am finally getting rid of. Not entirely but feel much better as well as my voice returned!!! Everybody has their own tips and tricks. Here are mine: I gave my voice a rest as much as I could; did not use it unecessarily. Don't sing in your car, in the shower, yell at your kids or husband! LOL Keep and recover your voice. People take it for granted, I suffer with the high level of humidity in CA. But doing these things included this Gargle Away has worked great! No ice cold drinks! Do warm teas instead!! and water at room temperature. I honestly thought I lost my voice for good. Try this stuff, do it religiously when you wake up after meals and before going to bed. I will be buying it again!!! I have chronic Laryngitis apparently it is hereditary. I had a minor cold almost a month ago and I still have not fully recovered my voice. I am trying almost anything in order to recover at least to be able to talk instead of just having air coming out of my mouth which is quite embarassing if you answer phone calls and need to talk to customers on the daily. I used this product and yes it does sting but it is not a big deal if I am trying to recover my voice. So, I am on the 2nd day doing this Gargle Away, still no voice improvement, however, I did feel that my sinuses started to reduce the swelling and less post nasal drip. It does seem to work in loosen tough mucus. I can only hope that with more use I get my voice back. I also recommend a teaspoon of your local honey and lemon three times a day. I make every attempt to voice rest, however, when you work..... Good Luck :)

This stuff WORKS. I suffer from chronic post nasal drip as well as strep throat and tonsillitis. I get strep 3-4x a year (I know it sucks) I’m waiting to get my tonsils removed which will eliminate strep all together - but this stuff literally is heaven sent. From the moment I start feeling a little PND (Post nasal drip) to having a sore throat - I use one - two packets and it’s gone. I get INSTANT relief. What I usually do and what works best for me is I get a coffee mug and I fill it up with warm/hot water (not too hot) & then I mix a full packet in. I gargle with this until the whole mug is finished. And I usually try to gargle for 10-15 seconds each if possible. By the end of the cup my sinuses are clearing up. My cough and throat feel so much better and I can feel the PND clearing up like clouds after the rain! Hallelujah! Thank you Ms. Jeannie. This is the best natural way to kick any sore throats ass. Oh and YES. It’s spicy. More-so when you’re like 4-5 gargles in - but it’s because of the oregano which is extremely important and anti viral! So don’t wimp out. Just push through it. Oregano oil is an amazing anti viral - when you’re sick it’s one of the best things for you. So yes it’s spicy but just think of that spiciness killing all the nasty crap that’s making you feel bad. You’ll be so grateful once you feel a lot better!

I had a sore throat for about 10 days before I purchased this product. I later found out that my sore throat was due to allergies, and not a viral or bacterial infection. Having said that, the gargle didn't take away my sore throat because of the fact that it was due to allergies. However, I do believe that if it were a cold, viral, or bacterial infection it would've worked well. I say this because I notice after each use of the gargle, I did cough up some mucus. Also, I am familiar with all the ingredients in the product and know that they each work and serve a purpose. When you look at the contents in the packet, you can tell that it's all natural. This gargle was a great and convenient idea to make. It tasted very spicy for me, so what I did was used about 1/3 of the packet each time in warm water instead of the whole thing.

This stuff is amazing, seriously. I discovered it a couple years ago when I had strep. It knocked the pain out almost immediately. A friend developed strep last week, and I remembered about this product. I gave her some packets, and it knocked the pain out in a day. It really is a wonderful product that everyone should keep in their medicine cabinet. Note- if you have an infection, like strep, this product is going to burn! Just power through it, the relief will be worth it. Antibiotics alone still mean 3-5 days of pain, but in my experience, this relieves pain by the second or third packet.

I believe this is probably great stuff. But the taste is realllllly bad. Don’t even consider trying to get kids to use it.

I have had a nasty cough for more than 3 years and have been through exhaustive medical testing to determine the cause, and tried a very large variety of treatments and medications with no success at limiting my cough. My body seems to make a lot of phlegm which results in a lot of drainage in my throat. It is common for food particles, especially dry food, to get hung up in my phlegmy throat and start me coughing. Most anything, sometimes even a drink of water, could trigger a coughing fit. Sometimes my coughing fits would cause me to pass out. I started carrying hot tea with me everywhere so I had soothing hot tea to sip regularly through the day. I was often awakened in the middle of the night with a cough that I could not settle down until soothing my throat with some more hot tea. Going out in public became uncomfortable because of this persistent nasty cough. I was getting desperate. I found some Gargle Away in our pantry which we had bought years ago and hadn’t used so I decided to try it to see if it gave me any benefit. All the things that the medical profession had tried for me so far had not worked. After my first week of using Gargle Away morning and night my cough became more normal and I would sleep through the night without being awakened by coughing. I’ve been using it now for 4 months and feel pretty much normal now, my coughing has reduced significantly. Still not gone totally but reduced to the point where I feel normal again. After getting the initial benefit from Gargle Away in a couple weeks I reduced my use to just gargling before bedtime and that has continued to work for me. I don’t have to carry hot tea with me everywhere to curb my coughing. It really works for me and has become a fixture of my daily routine. Gargle Away can be tough to use. Some reviewers have said they can’t stand the taste. It is strong and can be difficult to handle. I find that I get a set of 6 to 7 gargles out of a single pack. Often I cannot make more than a few seconds with the first two gargles without gagging but the remainder of the gargles I have no trouble getting 15 to 20 seconds. I have learned to do a far more “gentle” gargle for the first two gargles out of a set before being a bit more aggressive in gargling. Anyone who has trouble with the taste or gagging should keep at it because it can bring real benefits.

Over the past few years started waking up morning after morning with a dry throat.. Always is accompanied by a lot of mucus once I wake up.. Most likely related to getting acid reflux.. Simply a burning sensation like my throat is on fire or severely hoarse.. Tried a number of sprays, cough drops, candies, gums etc and all seem to work a little but rarely do they last.. One packet of this in a plastic 32 oz cup filled 1/3rd of the way full last several days.. Try to gargle in the morning, at night, and during the day if possible.. This particular flavor may not be for everyone.. Salty, orgeno, cayenne flavor kick that I find best heated up in microwave for 15 secs.. Lukewarm doesn't quite have the same impact as the slightly hot water does.. This is kinda expensive, but cheaper than all the teas and other redemies that haven't really helped much.. So does it work? For me definitely.. Hasn't completely cured my burning throat but it now seems a lot better and I will be keeping these around for a bit longer.
