Fellowes Jupiter 2 125 Laminator with 10 Pouches, 12.5 Inch (5734101), Black & Grey and Thermal Laminating Pouches, 3mil Letter Size Sheets, 9 x 11.5, 200 Pack, Clear (5743401)

My daughter and I are opening an Etsy shop, and I needed to be able to laminate with sheets thicker than 3ml (that's your standard lamination pouch thickness). I had a different brand of laminator, but it would only take up to 5ml, which just wasn't "stiff" enough for what we need. I did a TON of research, and this was the laminator of choice. It's not cheap, but believe me, it is well worth the money! It heats up incredibly fast and has an automatic sensor that controls the speed of the feed of the lamination sheet as it goes through. I also have a big-name laminator for applying foil to paper products, and was shocked to find that it would get over 170F on both the top and the bottom!! This Fellowes laminator ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT GET HOT on external surfaces like some other laminators. I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to laminate up to 10ml.

This laminator is really nice - heavy-duty, laminates 10-mil with carrier pouch no problem, smooth and quiet. The only real complaint I have - and my message to you - is this: DO NOT REGISTER YOUR PRODUCT WITH FELLOWES!!! I did this, thinking I needed to make sure my warranty was in place. It is now less than 24 hours later, and the e-mail address I used (which I hadn't used for almost anything else in months) has now suddenly been bombarded with spam! By "bombarded", I mean 2,500 junk e-mails (many in Cyrillic/Russian) in less than 24 hours.The timing and the fact that none of these e-mails were getting flagged for my junk folder tells me that Fellowes promptly sold off my info. That e-mail account is now effectively useless. Unless you want your e-mail to be completely blown up, do not register this product with the manufacturer. True story.

I bought this new (sold and shipped by Amazon). Box taped uncleanly. The Manual has folded already. The power cable tie wasn't clean. Finally, the product itself looked lightly scratched, looks like it's been used for a few weeks. So, it's definitely been refurbished. Not sure if Amazon refurbed it and sold it as new, or Fellowes did. But it just left a bad taste. I don't like returning stuff, too much hassle just to return it to get a brand new one. But if it shows any sign of performance degradation, I'll return it. I'm keeping every material including a box just in case.BTW, the product itself has been working fine. It did laminate with zero struggle. I just felt really bad that I received a refurb when I paid for a new one.

This was my 3rd laminator as I had to return the (1) original one I purchased and (2) its replacement. This crapped out on me two months after the warranty expired and the manufacturer did not want to do anything about it. THIS ITEMS IS SUPPOSED TO LAST A LOT LONGER THAN 2 YEARS AT THIS PRICE POINT! (great customer service the first two times I had to have it replaced though)There is something wrong with the heating element (at least that's what I think it is). One day, it just overheated very quickly after startup and after only one or two laminates it just stopped laminating altogether. It gets light use every month at home and I don't use it for any extended period of time.Either the manufacturer needs to double the warranty or fix this continued overheating problem. I expected better customer service after the product expired only a few months after warranty expiration and especially for all the inconvenience this product has caused me.

A couple of words of advice......DON'T believe that 'Rapid 30-60 Second Warm-up'....it will laminate but not well and you'll have to do it again. Let it warm up at least 5 minutes for max performance. Also...USE A CARRIER FOLDER!! I read somewhere tha this is not necessary but it definitely is. Tried without one and the glue was squeezed out on the rollers making further laminating awful until it was cleaned several times. The foler prevents this. Hope this helps.

For years, I owned a different brand laminator that worked really well. So when it died, I replaced it with a newer one of the same brand. BIG mistake! The quality wasn't there anymore - lots of problems with the adherence of the plastic to the paper, especially once the page was cut into smaller pieces.Back to the drawing board. Read a LOT of reviews.Finally decided to give the Fellowes Laminator Jupitor 2 125 a try.The machine is noticeably heavier than the ones I have owned before and it heats up very quickly.It detects the thickness automatically and adjusts the speed accordingly.It does an excellent job. It is fast. The adherence is flawless.The starting kit includes a "roll cleaner page" that you should feed through the machine before turning it off. It also includes about 10 x 3ml pouches.I am very happy with this product and hope it will serve me for many years.

I got this for work a couple years ago (barely past the warranty date!) We haven't used it much, maybe only a dozen times, and it's well taken care of. It stopped heating up. The troubleshooting guide has NOTHING on what to do when it just blinks and beeps and beeps and beeps. It's not supposed to do that. So I called. They will replace it if it's within the warranty period. We've only just used it and it needs to be replaced!!That being said, I did give it two stars because while it worked the dozen time we used it, it did the job pretty ok. The user's manual really should have more troubleshooting!!!!

Heats fast, simple to use, doesn't jam, and restarts if it needs to. Great product

This is a great machine!! Heats up so quickly compared to our previous one. If the inserted sheet is a bit crooked it stops and reverses it out so you can reinsert.

I like this machine so much that when mine broke down after a few years of heavy usage i went ahead and bought another one.

Works great!!! fast and easy and a lot cheaper than anywhere else
