Worth every penny
I've been using this like for 3 years now. I've dropped it numerous times. The magnets still work very well. The light is just as bright as the first time I used it. And the battery has held up extremely well. Love it!

Small, bright, durable, handy and easy to position! And GREAT customer care, too!
Recently I purchased a fixer-upper house in need of much work. 'Thought I'd buy a standard work light as used by contractors, but luckily I found this amazing little light instead. I'm spending a LOT of time in the attic, in cramped dark workspaces. I broke a half dozen standard light bulbs before buying this light, and now the work is SO MUCH EASIER.The WAKYME 40W work light is small, well built and very handy. It provides multiple positioning and/or mounting methods, and the light is more than bright enough for detail work, even at a distance of ten feet or so. I've dropped it a number of times and the rubber edge armor avoids any damage. This a smart buy. It's a quality product and is very versatile. When I no longer need it for working on the house I'll keep it in the glove compartment of my car. It'll make a great emergency light for roadside repairs. So bright and easy to position, especially due to the powerful rear-mounted magnet. There are three light settings: Bright, Less-bright and Flashing. The flasher setting would be perfect for warning drivers away from your disabled vehicle, or for gaining the attention of the police or repair services.GLITCHES HAPPEN. What's important is how the Seller RESPONDS to them. From the outset, my work light failed to charge properly. I contacted the Seller WAKYME via the standard Amazon procedure. We exchanged a few details and within three days Franky and Marta at WAKYME put a replacement work light in my hands. And the reduced battery charge in the initial defective unit lasted so long that it was still working when my replacement arrived days later. Too good!Superb customer service and real dedication to providing value and quality.

I bought this for the power meter, and the higher lumens.
I've been using the congruent WarSun lights for a year or so now, and have one in each of my most frequently used tool boxes, and one that clips the suspenders of my tool belt. I purchased this light because of the higher listed luminosity @ 4000 lm, and because of the battery meter included in the design.First of all, the highest setting on this light seems to be a bit over a thousand lumens. The cited range is a fairytale. As for the battery meter, I like it, but one of the times I turned off the light, expecting the meter to go off automatically, I then came back several hours later, mine was still on. On such small LEDs the unit will probably run for a year like that, but now, it's one more thing to worry about. As it goes, I think this is a good solid light. In fact, I think that this one is very good all around. There are two things about it however. The first is that the light goes on full bright on the first click, with the brightest setting. I much prefer to have lights go on on the lower setting first. If you are in a dark room, and you hit the button for a million candle power first, you definitely scare away any vampires, but a half million candlepower setting isn't of much use after that. Your already blind, and your lower setting will almost certainly inadequate for your now degraded light sensitivity. One other thing, this unit, instead of having a low, medium, and a high setting like the nearly identical WarSun (These are made in the same factory, with many identical parts), has a flashing mode, apparently on its brightest setting. Honestly, I really don't see the use of this, and adjudge it a gimmick that has no real use. Worse, because this gimmicky setting is one that you have to go through in order to turn the light off... this feature is demoted from questionable utility to downright irritating. (Although, I am getting the vision back in my left eye, thankfully.) If they had a long press or an extra long press to engage this feature, I'd donate mine to NASA, as in the unlikely eventuality I was on a spacewalk and got separated from the ship, I'm sure this feature would help them locate me. In fairness, I was fully aware of this feature at the time of purchase, but didn't fully appreciate the irritation factor. What I find superior about this unit, is that it has an ever-so-slightly larger magnet, that may be just a bit stronger. The fold up hook on the back seems to have the same throat, or distance from the body, but it is slightly wider and is made of a heavier gauge wire. That hook also seems to stay in place better, and folds more easily. Very pleasingly, the overmolding of the soft urethane, black rubber-like grip material seems far superior. It has ridges which should yield a better grip, as well as a superior shock absorbance. The Warsun is adequate, but failing a less robust board and electronics inside, this one should be a bit less likely to take damage from the hit. Lastly, and best of all, this unit charged itself much faster than the other WarSun models seem to take charge. They take a very long time. For this reason, I intend to take this one apart next weekend, and check out the charging/battery management circuits... as well as that power meter. This is a good light that does just what it is supposed to do. If you keep it in your truck, or car, or command capsule, that flashy thing might even be an asset. In fact, that is where mine is going, and NASA can get their own.For my purposes, the WarSun lights are the superior lights. Low medium and high, in that order, and though it is nearly identical, they just seem to work very well. I've modified one of my Warsuns, installing three Samsung 18650-36G batteries @ 3600mAh each, for a theoretical total of almost 11 amp hours. I also built my own power meter for that one, but was never happy with how well it worked, other than I really like the fact that I put mine on the back of the unit, so I was not facing the light when I tried to turn it on and read it. (That's why I can still see with my right eye.) Ultimately If I can come up with an appropriate design for this meter, I think that modified unit is fairly close to optimum. Even the smaller hooks on that design work better for me.Hope this helps.

One Tough SOB!!!
I'm not normally one to write reviews. However, this thing has been the talk of my weld shop since I got it!If you are in welding or any metal fabrication you will enjoy this!It is bright as all can be and makes any situation visible. This thing constantly gets a request to borrow at the Shop, and recently in the field it has proven just how durable the little guy is!It has taken multiple spills off a welding table or project from about 3 to 6 feet in the air. It took spills off of a scissor lift about 8 feet and also survived a fall from 15 feet onto concrete floor!!!! It has something rattling in it after that but is still working great!I have to tell you even if it breaks soon from another 15 foot fall I won't be able to blame this thing! I will probably buy another one!For the cost this thing is absolutely gold!!!

This is the toughest most used light I’ve ever bought!
The media could not be loaded. This light has been through it ALLL.I’ve used it as a hammer, it is still super bright, I’ve only charged it twice in two years and it’s by far the best light I’ve ever purchased.
