Works well once I was able to get the agitator part of. Fits perfectly and now my machine works just as great as it did before. My machine runs silently. It was compatible with the machine I have. Great price also. Easy to install

Excellent product
Update: Original review stands, this item great. Updating with how long it lasted: 15 months. Not as long as the one that came in the washer, but for less than $15 and less than 30 minutes to put it in, very worthwhile - way better than buying a new machine. Also, with as much laundry as we do, you may not have to change it for years. Happy customer. Washing machine was banging like you wouldn't believe (or maybe you would, that's why you're here) and the clothes came out soaking wet. I was told, by someone I trust, that the machine was shot. They said it would cost more to repair than to just buy a new one. I don't have that kind of money. I'm so glad I dug deeper on my own and found that this part was stripped out - what did I have to lose if I needed a new washer anyway, right? At a fraction of the price of OEM I was a little skeptical if it would last, but again, I'm far from rich so I went for it. Arrived quick and felt very sturdy for inexpensive plastic. Went in easily, fit like a glove. Many months later, doing laundry practically non stop for a family of six, it still works like new. Buy it, you'll be glad you did.

Maytag washer agitator adapter.
Difficult taking agitator off but when finally done adapter fit perfectly. Easy to install and fixed issue with washing machine. Recommend and will purchase again.

Great product!
I found this to be better than the oem part I purchased. The clip that is inserted into the hub on the oem hub was flimsy and broke. On this drive hub the clip is much sturdier.

Washer was leaving the load soaked - Maytag MVWX655DW1
Hoping my review here can help others. Maytag MVWX655DW1 was leaving the clothes soaken wet after a cycle. Learned how to get into the Tech Troubleshooting mode and even after running all the tests nothing was being reported as a problem. So started off with the water pump. Pretty straight forward fix and easy to do. Also hooked up a wet/dry vac to all the hoses in hopes of sucking anything up. Nope that did not fix it. Next tried replacing the Actuator,, again relatively easy to do, but again. No fix. After lots of Youtube searching the only thing left was the agitator. This was a HUGE PAIN IN THE A$$ to remove. I mean HUGE!!! There is a bolt that has Loctite on it that I had to use an impact wrench to get off. Then the agitator was not coming off. Saw a youtube video where someone used shoelaces, or you can use some other cord that you an use a flathead screwdriver to push down around the edge of the agitator so you can slide it complete under so you can try and pull up on it. Again for me no luck this was NOT MOVING. Long story short, sprayed PBlaster into the hole where the screw was waited about 30min and then poured boiling hot water over the hole. Then using same cords pulled pretty hard and finally popped off. Finally was able to get to this piece to replace. You can see in the picture that all the teeth were stripped down. Removed it and then had to use a wire brush to remove some of he crud and installed the new piece. Put everything back together and its been a few wash loads and finally working again. You may need to add Loctite to bolt again. There are plenty of youtube videos out there on removing the agitator. I really suggest watching some, even if the do not match your model so you an get an idea what to do if yours will not come off. Also be ready to be grossed out at all the black sludge and junk you will find under the agitator.

Doesn't fit listed machine. Buy brand name instead
***Update - I went from 1 star to 3 stars because I contacted the seller and explained my issue and they issued a refund.*** The listing for this part says that it fits our washing machine (Whirlpool wtw4957pw0) Thats only partly true. It would start to slide down on the splines and then just stop. I finally figured out that the problem was the opening on the top side of this hub was too small to let it slide all the way down. I had to take a utility knife and cut the opening about 1/8" wider all the way around. Something that should have taken 5 minutes turned into an hour because of this cheap imitation part. Do yourself a favor and buy the brand name replacement. I could have and should have returned this one and ordered the brand name myself, but this part went bad the morning we were leaving to go out of state and I ordered this part to be here when we returned today. I figured 5 minutes to change it and we'd be able to wash the pile of laundry that we brought back. Boy was I wrong. There's a saying that comes to mind...you get what you pay for.

Fit fine
Fit perfectly, and seems as good as original. Replaced preventatively along with the failed bushing, which was replaced by the red repair bushing thats now available. Washers still running like new.
