Smart Money buys Advion not Terro.
LONG TIME USER I grew up on a big property, backing into a wildlife area. So ants were a guarantee 6 months out of the year, being that we were in California. Advion is the most effective ant treatment I found, dealing with ants semin annually. The concentrated sprays are good spot treatments, but Advion always got to the root cause of the problem quickly and effectively. For this to work best, you have to place it on the ground, I never had success putting in on a piece of paper in the middle of an ant trail (to limit the cleanup), you gotta apply it directly on the ant trail, and watch it work wonders. Options like the Terro Liquid Ant Bait are garbage because they work very slowly, drastically increase the amount of ants you will deal with in the first several days, before they start working. If the ant infestation is indoors, imagine seeing the ants increase over 3-4 days, and start crawling everywhere, before seeing a decrease starts. I recently had the misfortune learning this the hard way recently, when I used terro for the first time, and over 3 days I just saw more and more ants start feeding on the bait. Advion seems to speed that timeframe up to 24-48 hours to conclusion in most cases. Its better in all regards.

Effective, easy to use, and a great value
This stuff works! I had a horrible sugar ant invasion and paid an exterminator a ton of money for a treatment that didn't work half as well as this. He came over several times and never solved the problem. I did a little research and bought this. It took care of the infestation with one application and kept it that way for a year. This Spring, they came back, but not nearly in the numbers they were last year, and another single application took care of those. I have enough left in the syringe for next year. It is easy to apply and stays put where you want it. It isn't messy or runny. It's a much better value than an exterminator. I've only used it on sugar ants, so I'm unsure about its effectiveness on other ant species. I'll keep a tube of this stuff around at all times from now on!

most effective ant killer
Not even sure where to start...I've never left an amazon review and this product deserves all of the stars. I've dealt with ant problems for over a year in the house that I reside if. I could never figure out exactly where the ants were coming in from. I thought it was random and throughout the house but most recently (and it was partly my fault) was dry dog food in my laundry room. I never for whatever reason even thought it would be that/and I consider myself a very clean person. The dry dog food was in a seal container, but tiny ants found an entrance and feasted on it I think while I've lived in the house that I do. I have tried about everything that you can think of: constantly cleaning surfaces and floors, never having trash in the house, spraying insecticide outside of the house(even in spots of the house), essential ant killer spray around my house, ant killer essential lavender spray everywhere in my house, never having dishes in the sink, taro liquid traps, taro traps in random spots, bleach spray, dawn dish soap--anything and everything you can think of attempting to kill these ants. I was driving myself mad trying to figure out how to get rid of my ant problem. When I discovered the dry food situation+accidently dropped food pellets.... I removed the food and threw it outside in the trash. I resorted to chat gpt and asked what other methods are there besides moving. Chat gpt then suggested advion ant gel and the maximun force gel. I found this advion ant gel a couple of months ago...never opened it till about 5 days ago. I was so mentally exhausted from trying to get rid of my ant problem...I'm like well I guess I'll try the gel and hopefully it works. I read on the product and see that it slowly killed the ant issue/and it was a slow method of killing off a nest. So a couple of days ago after removing the dry dog food and cleaning the floor, I placed the spots of gel and lined the area I found a substantial amount of ants. The next morning(I had placed the gel on the floor before I went to bed)--I found hundreds upon hundreds of ants going ham after this gel. I figured they found a new food source and was nervous I invited more ants inside. I also read on reddit that a user would re-apply this gel every two hours since the gel has the ability to harden and become solid and not thick and mushy like consistency. My thought process was to reapply it in the morning and at night. Well boy oh boy has it worked. At first, I found the hundreds of new ant friends going nuts after the gel...but noticed each day the numbers were decreasing. I found ants that were dead and also acting funny-if that makes sense. They would be almost disoriented like and not walking quickly in a line like pattern...I started to become a little relieved since I was seeing less and less ants. By day 3....I got home from work and omg I think this product is the most amazing effective product I've ever used. I cleaned my floor like normal and didn't wipe up a single dead ant. I went to the area where I had been placing this gel and struggled to find a live ant. When I did finally spot an ant....it was after minutes of searching for a live ant. I 100%believe this is the most effective way of battling pesky ants. Granted I still have found a live ant here and there-but it is nowhere near what I have been experiencing since I've lived in the house that I do. I think this product is effective and hope this review helps someone with a pesky ant situation. It is way better and far superior to anything I have ever tried.

The most effective gel/bait I ever used.
Long story short I've been battling ants in my house for close to a year. Seems like a anthill was disturbed outside and I live in a 1st floor apartment with gaps under the door and the ants came in and made a nice nest under my floors or in my walls. I tried everything bait traps from the supermarket, Terro, Demetrious earth, and etc. Every other bait/trap would only get rid of them for a few weeks or they would find a new place to come out from. It got so bad they were ignoring the bait. I was about to call a exterminator but then I tried this stuff. Let me tell you this was the most effective bait/gel I ever used. Every night (because this stuff hardens fast) I would put out a small pea sized blob where they were coming from. I noticed the ants were changing. They starting wandering more, they were attacking each other, they were doing weird patterns. Then one day more or less a week after doing this routine I came home and there were a good 30 dead ants just laying on my floor. After that I never saw them again. Even now a good 4-5 months later there hasn't been a single sign of ants. This stuff 1000% works give it a little time it kills slower than Terro but that's the point. Terro isn't bad but kills far too quickly this stuff makes its way into the colony and kills everything. Just a warning though if you have pets or kids this stuff is a poison. I don't know if it can kill your pets or make humans sick but its a actual poison so you need to be safe when applying it. I used small cardboard pieces and I see there are bait traps with covers that only ants can get into if you are worried about pet/kid safety. Overall I really recommend this product this is some of the best ant killing stuff I ever used after almost a year long battle I feel like I can finally rest. They used to appear a good 2-4 weeks after a new bait and so far its been months and not even a small sign of them.

Works, but then…
It works to kill the ants for a month or so. But then they come back shortly thereafter. And this is in an area with no food present. So you may have to use an additional product.

No more carpenter ants!
As soon as I found their entrance, I immediately put a pea size down and 30 minutes later they started feeding on it. I’ve been using this product for 5 years and works excellent. The first time I saw carpenter ants coming through the baseboards and cracks in the floor where I live, I decided to try this stuff because the ants just completely ignored and pushed the Terro baits and every other bait products I put down. I applied the gel (which was 5 years ago) and got rid of most of them in 3 days. They ate on it for 3 days and had to refill the stations about 3 times. Got some residuals after, but they were completely eradicated after a month, so patience is key, they are relentless! This kept them away for 5 years! I started applying it once a year to prevent them from coming back. Then a new colony found another way in and had to buy more and got the same results. I would recommend putting it directly in their entry and exit points (follow their trail so you can see where they coming from) so they have to eat it in order to get through, and prevents them from further invading the area, gets rid of them quicker! Some ants are not necessarily looking for food first, they forage first, especially for debris, so keep that in mind. Their diet may be protein based and not anything sweet, (keep that in mind as well) that’s why basic bait traps don’t work as well sometimes. The product itself is easy to use, no mess unless you put a lot down in areas where debris and traffic can get on it. It’s durable and won’t be buying any other product.

SKIP THE EXTERMINATOR AND BUY THIS
This stuff really works!! I had a problem with sugar ants coming from the baseboards. The exterminator came with this exact product. He placed small drops spaced 3-4 inches apart along the baseboards. A few hours later, and the ants were eating this stuff up like crazy. A few hours after that, no ants in sight. Haven’t seen any since and that was 2 weeks ago. The exterminator recommended I buy more just incase, but the first round worked so well that I probably won’t have to. The product itself is sticky so make sure you don’t have little ones or pets around when applying (sweep first so your fuzzies, dirt, etc don’t end up sticking to the product while it dries). This product was a life saver for me! Don’t make the mistake I did of hiring an exterminator, when this stuff is what they’ll recommended anyways. Saves time and money!

WORKS INSTANTLY
That time of year when these little pesky ants find their way in. An exterminator I know told me to get this gel. I put it down last night and they came and ate it all up and this morning not one ant! This gel is better than all those products they sell in Lowe’s. It’s a little pricey but worth it!

Arrived in the Netherlands & Ants Love It
So far, so good. About 4 days in and I’m still seeing plenty of ants, but I believe I’m dealing with a very large colony. The ants are highly attracted to the bait and start feeding on it almost immediately. I’ve been applying small fresh drops in the morning and evening, and the number of ants seems to be gradually decreasing. It’s too early to judge the final result, but so far I’m impressed with how well they accept the bait. Shipping from the US to the Netherlands was also faster than expected. There was no tracking information at first, which had me worried, but it eventually arrived well packed and in good condition.

Ants are gone.
We used it for only a couple of days, and the ants are gone.
