pitaka Magnetic Case Compatible with iPhone 12 Pro Max 6.7" MagEZ Case 100% Aramid Fiber Ultra-Slim 3D Grip Touch Phone Cover

I had one of their cases for my iPhone X too and loved it so much that I had to check and see if Pitaka was still making cases and sure enough, they are! The quality, feel, grip, and look of this case is fantastic. I almost got the blue color they offer to match my phone but decided to avoid it based on other reviewers showing some inconsistencies with them.I haven’t dropped my phone with this particular case on it yet, but based on my past experience with their case on my iPhone X, it will actually do a pretty solid job at protecting the phone from normal height drops. I probably dropped my X at least a solid 7-10 times in the 3 years I had it with the Pitaka case on it and my screen never cracked until the last drop. And it was only a tiny crack in the corner of the screen. The good news for us iPhone 12 Pro users is that Apple has made their new screens incredibly strong and durable so, more likely that not, most of us will never have to worry about cracking our screens. The back of the new iPhones still use the old glass, but this case should protect it in most cases, so no worries there.All in all, TLDR, this is a great case and I’d highly recommend it. It’s great quality, it looks good, it feels good, it’s thin and lightweight, and I think the cost is justified when it’ll most likely last you for several years to come. My only real gripe with this particular model, is that it’s an absolute pain in the butt to remove from the iPhone. I don’t take my case off very often though, so it doesn’t really bother me enough to remove a star or anything on the review.

Looks good, minimalistic style, protects my iPhone 12 Pro edges, screen and camera lens. Tight fit - I’m not sure what others who complain about this case slipping off are experiencing, mine stays tightly secured. I don’t drop my phone often and am careful about handling the phone. As a result, I just need minimal protection. This is my second PITAKA mag case. I had one for my 8plus and it served me well!! I like the mag mount - I use it in my car. This case wears well and stays fit. Front edge protects my screen while the remainder protects the sides and back including preventing scratches. Looks amazing, long lasting. Offers a nice grip. Without this case the phone easily slips from my hand. I can charge my phone with th Apple mag safe charger but do need to attach it in “just the right” spot to connect. Not a big deal, sometimes I’ll take the case off to charge it, although honestly not finding a lot of benefit to the Apple mag safe tech anyways. Will buy this case (brand) again when the time comes to upgrade my phone. Very classy presentation/packaging, nice product!!!

Update: 12/14/2020Received a perfect fitment replacement case from Pitaka. Replacement fits well and has the cut out to fit multiple different charging cable sizes. Trust regained and a very satisfied customer. Very impressive that Pitaka took care of their customers and came out with a better fitment case so quickly. Looking forward to the next phone case! Thank you Pitaka team!TL/DR: Don't buy right now unless you want to only use wireless charging on have to sand down the charging port of the case. Fits well for my phone, lost its textured feeling.Returning Pitaka customer here. Loved the XS Max case and immediately chose this one over several Apple cases. However, a bit disappointed due to the incompatibility with ANY lighting cables as of now (Apple, Anker, Native Union).The fit is perfect for my phone, however other people seem to have issues so might be a gamble at this point. The finish also is not the same as the previous cases and lost its textured/velvety feeling as many other reviews have pointed out and that is very disappointing as that helped in keeping the phone from slipping to a degree.However, I still like the case for the perfect fit around the phone, and how thin it is while still having magnets inside for a car phone mount for which is worth 2 stars. I had to sand down A LOT of the charging port in order to fit third party charging cables, so I would not recommend buying this case right now before they figure out the dimensions and cut it a bit more. Unless you are okay with just wireless charging or self sanding it down. Also the new logo on the back is an eyesore and breaks the classy and minimalistic styling of the previous cases, so that is up for you to decide if it is your style but just thought I would point it out.2/5 stars as of 11/19/2020, however I will get another if they decide to update and revise and will definitely receive 5 stars as I had loved their previous case.

I’m very happy with the quality of my MagEZ, its the perfect product for the past. Light, durable, and stylish. It’s a 5 stars product indeed. The only thing I wished the product has is a different textures on the lower sides to improve the grip, other than that its really one of the best cases ever made for the iPhone.The reason I gave it 4 stars is the compatibility with the MagSafe ecosystem. Pitaka claims that it is compatible but that’s not true. It does charge from MagSafe charger but in most of the time you need to have multiple tries till you find the charging spot (magnets are not aligned), if you have a MagSafe car mount its another pain point. Pitaka need to consider the users who already invested a lot of money on the MagSafe accessories.
