Half loaf joke
Is this a joke? I know gluten free bread is expensive but this is also what looks like half loaves to me. See photos. It’s beyond dry (it does suggest you toast it, but this feels stale and gross) And crumbly. Gluten free baking is difficult which is why I bought the bread, sourdough no less. I would have expected a loaf (12 pieces) a loaf- a loaf per loaf, but there are 10 pieces plus a baby crump thing on the end of each one you can’t possibly count as a piece. Really there are 8 full pieces and two small ones and a like a dough tester crump in the end. Like bread skin Or something. It looks like someone chopped and bagged 4 half loaves to me. Which would be fine if I knew I was paying $50 for 4 half’s of gluten free sourdough which I would never do. The last photo is the whole thing out of the bag. For real it starts like that in the middle. And you can’t’ return your $50 bread so don’t buy it.

I can eat any bread, and yet this is one of my faves!
I love the Young Kobras breads, all delicious in their own way. I don't understand the people down-rating these for taste, comparing them to standard gluten-free garbage typically plied in most grocery stores... those ones use conditioners, enzymes, tenderizers, preservatives, lots of sugar or fats (even unhealthy saturated fats)... So yeah, if you cheat like crazy you can improve the taste in some ways, but at the cost of your health! Wake up people, stop spending money to support inferior food. Vote with your wallet for better food, companies doing the right thing, companies who care about their customer's health, especially small producers like this one. I can currently eat gluten containing breads, but I focus on organic authentic sourdough breads even on those to reduce the gluten load on my system to hopefully not prompt my body to become gluten sensitive, and also mix in these gluten-free products to also greatly reduce the gluten load... all this effort should reduce the chances or extent of the possibility of a leaky gut, etc too. So yes, this is one of the gluten-free breads that are actually healthy to eat and that I love even though I can fortunately still choose any bread.

TERRIBLE!!!
Do not waste your money!!! This is one of the worst gf sourdough breads!! Dry, hard crust. Very little flavor. Only good toasted with tons of something on it. Doesn’t make you happy when you eat it:( Way overpriced!! For way less money, Schar brand at Walmart or Sprouts. Or if you’re willing to spend this much money on bread, then try Bread SYRSLY. Amazing small company out of San Francisco and they make all kinds of yummy sourdough shipped to your door and/or by subscription.

Delicious but Half Loaves
For a gluten free bread it’s delicious. It’s dense and one piece will satisfy my toast cravings for sure without the bloat. When toasted it has a churro consistency: crunchy exterior and soft chewy interior. It tastes like yummy sourdough and I love the ingredients. I also love that it’s made then sent out immediately. I only use it as toast. For a sandwich, it might feel a bit stiff. Now the downside: It’s expensive and they are small. It’s clearly a half of a loaf and not a full loaf. For the price I want the full loaves. Debating on ordering again after these run out because of what you get for the price. If it’s 2 full loaves, definitely. Not sure i will re-order on these half loaves.

Not for regular sandwiches
This stuff feels like a brick. Don't use it for regular sandwiches. You will regret it. It is not sized for sandwiches...being about half sized for a sandwich helped it hold together while eating a sandwich, but it still crumbled halfway through. My second try with this bread, I buttered it and then toasted it on a hot cast iron skillet and ate it with soup. That was much much better. The sourdough flavor is good, but this bread needs to be pan toasted. It helps soften it. Otherwise it is very hard to bite. I will not buy this again and will have to force myself to eat it before it spoils. I have made better gluten free bread at home on my own for much cheaper. $15 a loaf, for a short half sized loaf of brick, is a bit much in my opinion. I could see this being a good bread for a bistro that wanted to include a gluten free bread option, who also had no idea what gluten free actually meant or had no desire to put any effort into gluten free options. If you have a gluten intolerant friend and you want to have something they can eat at your next get together, buy something else!

Waste of money!
Not even worth 1 star. Had high hopes, but this has no resemblance to bread. At all. Rather, like card board. Emailed them, no reply. $50 wasted.
