Great for sun and privacy
This is a must have for Doona. Not only do we live in A sunny state but this is also great for your baby’s privacy. Bit pricey for some fabric but worth it.

Gets very hot in the sun
Living in Florida I thought this was great for the extra shade but it does get sooo blistering hot in it from just the walk from the car to the store that we don’t use it much. It is easy to place around the doona and fits well but it was just way too hot. I do like that they fold up easily and can be placed in their own little bag so it’s in our diaper bag but I don’t see us getting much use unfortunately.

Keeps baby out of the elements!
I liked that this helped to keep my baby from getting direct sun during the summer! I also like that there are mesh sides so he doesn’t get too hot. Quality is okay.

Amazing but weakens over time
UPDATE 10/2023: the shade weakens after a few months and it doesn’t hold onto the collapsing shade properly. So it’ll just randomly pop off. We had to buy Velcro strips to get it to stay. I will say it provides a little area of storage for light items at the bottom- which is nice considering the Doona has like no storage space.Living in Southern California, the sun is intense all year round. This shade attachment is amazing. I’ll be honest it took me longer than it should have to install it but once it’s on, we don’t take it off. It’s well made. It protects baby from sun. Couldn’t ask for more!

Doona 360* Sunshade
Best accessory for the Doona hands down. Fits like a glove when installed correctly. One star reviews have it installed upside down.Yellow Doona taps should be on either side of the shade and hooked onto the base.Cons: Has already developed a rip at the seam where the right side hooks onto the adjustable handle.

Works well, hard to understand orientation at first
Works very well for blocking the sun. Can be tricky to get it attached to the stroller. I wish there was a small peek-a-boo hole on the top to peak in on baby. zip down flap is great to give baby a view without having the sun in their eyes.

Not secure at all
Slips off too easily and sides were still open for bugs to come in.

Good idea, not that functional
I think this is probably the best accessory you can get to protect your baby from outside elements in the doona. Unfortunately, you think it would work better since it’s made by the company specifically for the product. It kept slipping off the sun shade and/or the handle bar, which was super frustrating. It also wasn’t very easy to get on in the first place and inconvenient to put in/take baby out of the car seat. It was an absolute must while on vacation in Hawaii and generally good to have, but annoying to use.Pros of using over just a swaddle would be that the zipper on top allows you to see baby while keeping them relatively shaded. The full mesh/net surround acts as an insect net and can help keep items from falling on ground since it’s tight around the bottoms (but still loose enough that it won’t scrunch up baby’s legs/feet).I want to love this item, but for the price I’m not very satisfied.
