Lavika Aluminum Stand-Up Paddleboard Paddle, Vortex Black

I ordered one from Amazon and picked up another from Dunham's for about the same price. It is stout and uses a spring loaded clip on the end of the primary shaft to adjust the length. I am 6'3" and it had plenty of length for me. It is a two piece paddle but not in the same way a kayak paddle is two piece. Kayak paddle's usually break down into pieces at the center. For rigidity, strength, and adjustability purposes this one is full length and the second piece slides up and down with-in the first. So you will need room to store it in a car. Strength wise though it held up with no issues for me and I am a bigger paddler (210lbs). the sliding piece is foam filled and I did do a float test with it in shallow water and it remained floating for about a minute or so (I got bored and it didn't look like it was going to sink anyways so I didn't go longer). Cheapest paddle I found either online or in the store but it works great. If I paddled more I would look at a one piece paddle at a set length but for me (and since others will use the paddle) the adjustable one works great in this brand.

This paddle is sturdy enough for rigorous paddling, adjustable (which is great for sharing), it floats (very important), and it wasn't super expensive. It is an all around good generic/beginner paddle.
