A beautifully present box set of Tolkien inspired books.
Beautiful book set. Bought as 'used like new' they were still in the original unopened shrink wrapping. Really wish I wasn't buying as a birthday present for my partner or I'd be keeping it for myself.Just wish the publishers wouldn't keep putting annoying little stickers on the back cover of the books to say they aren't authorised by the Tolkien estate. I can read the product information thanks and all the stickers do is potentially ruin the back cover as they always tear when trying to remove them. Thankfully I managed to do all six with out damaging the books otherwise I'd would have marked the star rating down.Really happy with overall quality of product and really happy to get at the price I paid.

Amazing gift for a fan
Okay, so it is still in its plastic wrapping, as it is a Christmas gift for my husband. But the sheer quality is amazing. I bought one of the individual books for my Uncle earlier this year for his birthday and it was stunning. He said it was an amazing read, so I have no doubts that my husband is going to be even happier with the full set!

It's LOTR universe
Terrific addition to my collection. Although not 100% accurate it's a great read and a great foundation to help me spark the interest in my kids to this universe

A plethora of Tolkien's Middle-Earth knowledge
Colourful, detailed, a pleasure to look at. Definitely worth buying for collecting even if you don't read them.

Spines are different
They're have a faux leather binding, not paperback as advertised, which I have no complaints about however the spines do not have the picture advertised on this listing which is disappointing

Not factual but beautiful
some of the facts aren't true and its quite in acetone but the books themselves are gorgeous. The covers and drawing on the outside are amazing and alk the art inside and the layout is really pretty

Not worth the price
I had high hopes for this collection of books about the World of JRR Tolkien, but at over 50 pounds,ni didn't think it justfies the high price. Not only was I really disappointed with these books, but despite the five star reviews, these are completely unofficial and not authorized by the Tolkien estate. The only book I found interesting was the first one a Dictionary of Tolkien, which helps explain the places, the races and all the characters in Middle Earth. If you are reading the complete history of Middle Earth by Christopher Tolkien, then the first book will make it easier for you to understand. Apart from this the rest of the books were boring, mulling over the same things all the time. Hence 2 stars out of 5.

The textured covers and full illustrations were a surprise
These books offer a very approachable level of detail culminated from Tolkiens Legendarium, with fully illustrated tomes detailing the history of Middle Earth from the First Age through the LOTR series. Any Tolkien fan would be ecstatic to have this box set on their shelves, as it is not only beautiful, but extracts information in a digestible way from the Silmarrillion and the Appendices.

Awesome Binding
These are an awesome collection of books. I only dislike that the pricing stickers are pretty stuck on and kind of hard to get off.
