Great Product
Worked great for my 30โ Apple Cinema Display plugged into my Thunderbolt dock hooked up to my MacBook Pro. No complaints the build is great and itโs relatively compact compared to other options. Canโt say Iโve tried many other brands adapters, but Club 3D has really great products especially less common or hard to find ones. The display only runs at 60hz at 1440p and looks like it should nothing looks wrong color wise or anything else.

Works with Wacom Cintiq 21UX
I'm using an old Wacom Cintiq 21UX from about 2010. It's difficult to find adapters that will work with this monitor. I don't think I needed the full on active dual link but I did need the dvi-i. This is listed as dvi-d but it did have the proper fitting for the cintiq's cable. Finding the right one of these is notoriously finicky. The star tech one is dvi-d and doesn't have those 4 little holes around the longer "-" pin and won't fit without another adapter. This is half the price and has the proper fitting. I'm only a day in so I can't vouch for quality but this allowed me to upgrade my graphics card and keep my old cintiq. I'll try and update this if anything goes wrong. A simpler cable [non active/non dual link] might also work but I'm not taking any chances!

1 out of 2 of my Dell 3007wfp monitors work with this.
Since I saw other reviews specifically reference the Dell 3007wfp monitor I decided to add my experiences to the reviews. I own 2 of these monitors (hand me downs from a friend). I use one and my son uses the other. We ordered 2 of these adapters after GPU upgrades that don't have DVI outputs anymore. We had mixed results: I now have an AMD 6750XT and so far the adapter seems to be working great. Initially we had issues where Windows couldn't even see the monitor but after swapping the 15' DVI cable I was originally using with a much shorter 6' one, it works great. (Specifically the BENFEI 6' Dual Link DVI-D to DVI-D). My son's experience isn't so good. He's now using an Nvidia 1660 TI (another hand me down). He gets artifacting in dark areas sometimes. And weirder, his screen will swap left side and right side parts that can be fixed by disconnecting/reconnecting the DP cable from the GPU. (Luckily this doesn't happen very often). It's his secondary monitor so he puts up with it. So if you really want to stick with your Dell 3007wfp, you can give this adapter a try, it might work for you. There appeared to be more expensive ones (up to $100!) that might work but their cost is more than 50% of a new monitor so what's the point? I have no idea what to rate this adapter. I gave it a 4 since it works great for me and kinda works for my son.

1440p 60Hz success
This product worked right away with no fuss. I am getting the max output that my monitor supports. I have a 27" 1440p 60Hz monitor that only accepts DVI-D input. Previously, my GPU had DVI-D, so it worked with a regular cord. Now, I have a new GPU that only has DisplayPort and HDMI, so I needed this adapter. Wish it was cheaper, but I see these selling for $40-60 for used or new on eBay, so if I no longer need it some day I bet I can re-sell it to someone else who does. The picture is 100% perfect whether doing YouTube or gaming. No lag, static, artifacts or anything. I am 100% satisfied and would recommend. I bought the HDCP OFF version, because it was in stock. Not really sure what the difference between the two options is. I think something DRM or Blu-Ray related?

red and green dots... bad cable or connection
i ordered this adapter because my old DVI monitor (near 20 year old apple cinema) was not recognized by a new data port video card i got. This device did allow me to select the proper resolution for my monitor, so it worked... but on black screens it showed a binary like pattern of red and green dots (of one pixels) in repeating lines. The first one I got was unusable so i returned it, which went flawlessly, for which I"m grateful. the second worked better, but had less than 1% of the dots as the first... while not perfect, it is tolerable as it only shows on black screens in the upper left part of the screen. The second adapter was a little squirrely in that the number of dots changed depending on how tightly the DVI plug was screwed in to the adapter (so the DVI side part of the adapter was not perfect). Note that this monitor works fine on other systems and the new video card works fine with other monitors, so it was definitely the adapter.

Works well with 30" Apple Cinema Display, no more mouse lags
I was using the non-A version of the adapter (HDCP on) with my 30" Apple Cinema display on the DisplayPort of my Sapphire RX 580 running Windows 10 on my Mac Pro (a dual boot system). It gave me mouse lags under Windows 10 but worked fine under Mac OS (Monterey). This issue had bothered me for months. Yesterday I discovered this HDCP Off version of the adapter (CAC-1010-A) and ordered right away to give it a try. Today the adapter arrived (thanks to Amazon's one day shipping). I hooked it up and, Bang, mouse lags are gone and now I am a happy customer. Never understand what HDCP is but surprised to learn that the "HDCP off" version did make the magic happen!!

Had high hopes - but it failed to work!
I need to connect a Dell 3007WFP-HC monitor with this adapter to a DisplayPort and get the 2560x1600 resolution. I have a Lenovo ThinkPad with a docking station and a desktop computer with an Nvidia RTX 1660 video card. The 3007WFP monitor works perfectly at 2560x1600 when connected to the DVI Dual Link port of the Nvidia RTX 1660 video card. When the Club 3D CAC-1010-A DisplayPort to DVI Dual-Link DVI-D Active Adapter was first connected to the DisplayPort of the dock, it displayed a normal 1280x800 picture. When the resolution was changed to the 3007WFP's native resolution of 2560x1600, the monitor showed a very bad picture with fuzzy and jumping lines and a rainbow paterrn (see the attached picture). The same thing happended when the Club 3D CAC-1010-A DisplayPort to DVI Dual-Link DVI-D Active Adapter was connected to a DisplayPort on a Nvidia RTX 1660 video card on the computer. The USB connected was connected to an 2A USB charging device. I bought this to replace the non-functional "VisionTek DisplayPort to DVI-D Dual Link Active Adapter" as it did much worse and showed a bunch of vertical scan lines. I am reaching out to the vendor. Should this adapter work with Dell 3007WFP-HC? Does it need a firmware update to work? If I don't hear back from the vendor in two days, this adapter will be returned to Amazon as it is not working at all.

The only adapter that worked!!! Update: stopped workingโฆ
I have an old but beautiful Samsung Syncmaster 305T 2K monitor that only has DVI Dual Link support and my graphics card (AMD RX580 8GB GPU) does not have DVI, only DisplayPort and HDMI. HDMI can't support 2K with an DVI adapter, so I tried every combination of adapters possible. Most forum posts just said to give up and buy a new monitor, or buy an older graphics card with a native DVI port, or recommended some StarTek adapter that cost as much as a mid tier graphics card. I didn't want to spend too much money on just an adapter so I daisy chained all kinds of monstrosities together and nothing worked. I found this adapter that seemed to do the same thing as the StarTek one but for 1/2 the price, but I was holding off since it was still expensive. But after nothing worked I finally gave in and bought it. At first I bought the HDCP ON version and the screen was displaying beautifully!!! But there was horrible mouse lag every 1-2 seconds. I then tried the HDCP OFF version and no more mouse lag!!! I don't know the technical details of HDCP but if you have mouse lag, try the HDCP OFF version! Update: adapter started having visual glitches after only a few days. Left side of screen would appear on the right and right would appear on the left while the middle stayed the same. Real shame.

Great adapter for korean 1440p monitor
If you have one of those discount 2560*1440 monitors sold from Korea on ebay (mine is branded as "CrossOver", and you need a way to connect them to a GPU without a DVI port, this definitely does the job. It makes sense as these are apparently designed for Apple Cinema displays, which I believe are the same panels. I have used it for a couple weeks now and it has performed flawlessly. I tested to see if it introduced any input lag into my setup and found that it is under 1ms, so is not a problem for gaming. Even after using it all day the adapter stays cool, so hopefully will not burn out any time soon. The ONLY difference I have noticed is the monitor takes a couple seconds longer when initializing than it did without the adapter, but this is really a non issue unless you find yourself changing resolutions very frequently. Also take note that it requires a USB connection for power plugged in at all times, though it does NOT have to be plugged into your PC, it can use an external USB power plug if necessary. So if you have one of these monitors, this is definitely the adapter for you. The cheaper ones won't work unfortunately.

The only one that works !
This is the only adapter that makes My Apple 30โ Cinema Display work at its full 2560x1600 resolution via my NVidia RTX3090 display port output on windows 11. Iโve tried various others including the star tech USB-C adapter (which does work for my MacBook Pro but not windows over thunderbolt/USBC) and this was the only one that worked properly on windows and the nVidia card.
