Bought for my kids, but mostly gets played with by their dad! The software really is quite impressive, it does take some getting used to though, and it isn't quite as automatic as I thought it may be. My son is 5 and is definetly too little to be able to fly it properly, my daughter who's 8 can though. You do need a fairly still day for the standard paper planes, and as I found out on the first flight, if theres dew on the ground or it's raining it's a no go for the paper planes, unless your able to catch them every time - a damp piece of paper is not and aerodynamically friendly material. You can however get non paper kits or design your own. Herein lies the genius of the product! We've probably spent more hours trying to get weird things to fly then we have spent actually flying. Great product, much more fun then simply flying a drone, and genuinely a cool way to get kids (and their dads) into aerodynamics.

So good it is good it can fly but I hate the 2.0 I love the 4.0

Quite good fun and more powerful than expected. The design flaw is that if you lose your bluetooth connection it'll just fly 'where ever it wants' - in our case, over the neighbouring houses and is now lost in action. One really needs to be in a big field to fly this and not lose it.

Everything great but battery only last for 10mins and the accessories to upgrade the plane appear to be overpriced. My son loves it but after 2-3 weeks playing it he stops to explore it further. Lets see if any new model will be introduced in the near future.

Good design, easy to play

I'm not sure what people expect. Essentially this is a paper aeroplane. You actually can steer it somewhat and control climb, alter flaps for more speed etc. We were really very impressed with it. Obviously no you can't fly it in bad weather. It's a paper aeroplane. If it doesn't charge or connect then this is a valid complaint but ours worked faultlessly and the app is good. We've crashed ours many many times (I have 2 boys 5yrs and 11trs) and it still works great. Definitely recommend for some light hearted fun. I think it definitely deserves more than 4.1 overall

The item is defective and does not work. The On-Off buton labes wrong way around. They just do not pair reliably in bluetooth and will never fly. Even in full power in the off position when bluie light flashing, it pairs briefly and spontaneously and then looses connection when moved. By the time I go out there is no connection. I guess these were discounted for a reason., but you should not sell defective items like this. I opened this item very late as it was going to be a birthday present but ruined the moment.

Unlike regular drones, it is great that you can easily experiment with different plane designs, this adds a neat education aspect for kids. The price point is high but the electronics construction and software is well built and so I feel this is justified. The company is also responsive to support issues and I would happily recommend this to others.

Tolles Ding. Als erstes ging es ans Falten. Das YouTube Video geschaut, manchmal war es etwas schnell, aber nach ein paar Malen, war der Flieger gefaltet. Flugwerk an das usb- Ladegerät. Papierflieger einjustiert, App heruntergeladen und raus aufs Feld. Der Flieger ist wirklich sehr schnell und fas Fliehen braucht doch mehr Geschick als gedacht, aber der Spaßfaktor ist definitiv da. Das wird nicht der letzte Flieger sein, den wir kaufen. Der Bruder hat schon großes Interesse bekundet. Das liegt auch im Preisbereich für ein Geburtstagsgeschenk für Freunde. Definitiv eine Empfehlung. 👍🏼

I am 9y old and I love the powerup 4.0. It is easy to control and it helps me to learn aerodynamics. There are different attachments you can use for 4.0 to make it even more fun. Chris K.

I have a bit of time off work, and wanted to buy myself a new toy to have some fun with. I love to tinker, so this seemed perfect. Once I got a decent plane folded and mounted, it ended up being the most fun I’ve had for ages! I was itching to go again after I had run out of battery, but I was running out of daylight as well. It had to wait until the next day. Today is day four, and I’ve had it out multiple times every day. It’s quite exciting to see your plane continue flying on beyond what a paper plane should, and very cool to see it turn with a twist of the wrist. It has attracted a few interested spectators too, who seem equally impressed. The only downside is it is coming into winter, and the grass is wet. So, before a session is over, my plane is basically trashed. I’ve folded up a few spares now, so I can keep going but I’m keen to build one out of something more durable (balsa?). It still feels like a bit of an extravagance to spend so much on motorising a paper aeroplane, but now that I’ve tried it, I have no regrets. I’ll definitely be getting enough enjoyment out of it to warrant the expense.

Après un mois d'utilisation, le Powerup 4.0 fonctionne toujours très bien, c'est très amusant et mon fils de 10 ans s'éclate avec. Le pilotage est aisé. Effectivement, il ne faut pas trop de vent, un peu d'espace (terrain de foot ou pairie). Petit bémol : la batterie s'épuise vite. Mais bonne nouvelle, elle se recharge aussi très vite avec une petite batterie externe. Plusieurs modèles d'avion sont à tester, avec pour chacun les explications de fabrication (en Anglais), ce qui varie un peu les séances de vol. Très sympa, je recommande.
