Naturtint Permanent Hair Color- Sandy Golden Blonde 8G, 5.28 fl. oz.

Prior to using this product, I would have my hair professionally dyed by a wonderful colorist in Detroit every couple of months (I must mention that I live in Chicago, but I would fly to Detroit to have my hair colored because she's that good). I received compliments literally daily every time she colored my hair using Miss Clairol's sunlit brown (with a 20 developer) and light golden blonde. But, as a sacrifice for beautiful hair color, I would get horrific bumps all over my face, neck, and shoulders. I never correlated the time of the breakouts to the hair color application - I just assumed something else was causing the allergic reaction until I switched to this hair dye. I started using this hair color once the hubby and I decided we were going try to start a family. I'm glad I switched because I definitely don't want to expose our potential developing fetus to chemicals that are strong enough to cause me to have severe allergic reactions. My natural hair color is off-black with hints of brown hues. I mix the Sandy Golden Blonde with the Dark Golden Blonde and the results are beautiful. It's similar to Miss Clairol's sunlit brown, except it has hints of red undertones. No, I don't get compliments daily now, but I get at least two compliments every week. That's pretty darn good since I'm applying the color myself! This color never makes my hair dry or frizzy. Ironically, my hair feels super soft after coloring my hair using Naturtint. Best of all, I'm not having any allergic skin reactions!

I used henna for a long time as I couldn't tolerate traditional hair coloring kits. When I found Naturtint I was a bit concerned whether or not I would react to it. I had no problems at all, none of the burning scalp from traditional products. I was also concerned when the dye looked dark brown while processing, but it turned out to be much lighter once washed out. I'm pleased with the color. It's not as light as the picture on the box front, it's between 7G and 8G, but I attribute that to my own hair color. I'm a natural red head whose hair is going darker at the roots instead of gray as I age. I tried 8C copper blonde but that went very dark on me (5C); again, I think it's because of the brown/black base color I now have. I'm very pleased with this color and will order it again.

I am a huge fan of this Sandy Golden Blonde Naturtint. First off, I have used Naturtint for quite a while now and used to use the darker shades and I have been slowly going lighter using this shade (in order to not have to bleach my hair, to preserve its length). The golden tones in this color are absolutely gorgeous and I love that it is a blonde with depth. Naturtint dye, itself is sooo much gentler on the hair and scalp than most brands, and it smells kind of coconut-like and pleasant. It has never made my scalp itch like other brands. The only thing I am not completely happy with is that the ends of my hair tend to dry out after initially feeling awesome right after the dyeing. However, I admit that I am ..lightening my hair, which is going to take its toll, and that this stuff is the gentlest dye I have ever used with the least drying effects. Overall for gorgeous color and healthier colored hair than you are going to achieve with most brands out there...I highly recommend Naturtint.

This is a very good color. IF you are light blonde or gray it can come out quite reddish. I mix it with wheatgerm blond or light dawn blonde to neutralize the effect. It covers gray quite well and its easy to use. After I use it my hair feels healthy and shiny. I am glad it does not contain ammonia and rescinol. What bothers me is that this product is sold in health food stores and it is advertised as natural healthy product. However it contains PPD, a toxic substance.

It is consistent and covers grey. The shampoo is very drying, but the conditioners make up for that. Easy to apply. I am gray so leave it on at least 35 min which is less than for the toxic store brands. The dye has very little odor. The conditioner is scented. Been using for three years.

The color is true and lasts as long as any I've had done in a salon. Cruelty Free is also very important to me.

I will try with other colours from this company, because I like its more natural ingredients.But the 'sandy golden blonde' turns out to be dark blonde.Hopefully I'll find my favourite.
