This was a gift for a vegetarian friend of mine so I didn't try them, and this review is second hand knowledge. My friend loved them. He said they had great taste and prepare quickly. He had tried other brands of similar items but found them either bland or artificial tasting. Not these, according to him they had great spice, flavor and were filling. He is busy and doesn’t have a lot of time to prepare lunches, so takes these to work. He has told me several times that he really loves these for the taste, quality and simplicity of a one course meal. I will buy some for myself to try based on his review as he does have a discriminating palate. If you are looking for some healthy yummies, these would be a place to start.

My first meal out of the assortment of four was Every Day Chana - Chick peas, tomato, and onion. Very good flavor, together with white rice. I decided that a few drops of hot sauce would improve the dish, and I think that it did. My only thought on this recipe -- entirely new to me -- is that more diced tomatoes or some tomato pureé would be a slight improvement. I am looking forward to trying the three other dishes I have not yet tried. I think I will enjoy each.

These soups/sauces are tasty and a good way to get a quick, economical, and nutritious meal. They are good alone after a 90 second zap in the microwave, over rice, or as a base for soup or stew. Kudos to Maya Kaimal!

Authentic taste, quick cook in the nuke, perfect for lunch or paired with your protein and starch of choice make great easy after work meals.

These meals are a life saver, for me. I'm a lone vegetarian in a house full of carnivores. Before finding these meals, had to cook 2 completely separate meals, now I don't. Meat and rice for them. Pop this in the micro for 90 secs & toss over said rice for me. These taste like home made, so I do not feel like I'm missing out, they are both nourishing and delicious. High protein, too. I'm a huge fan!

Love all the flavors in this variety pack. Perfect for a side dish for two.

I won’t purchase again. The taste is nothing special but more importantly they expired in one month ! Ended up throwing 1/2 away. I’ve definely had better brands .
