Perfect little laptop
I had a disaster with my old laptop and lost all my university work, so I ordered this for next day delivery. It arrived and I was so impressed! Start up was easy, the design is ideal for travelling about and compared to my old laptop it is so fast. I am very pleased with it, well worth the money. Webcam isn't great but will do.

Powerful laptop for the price
Quick delivery, lots of storage, very good graphics and easy to set up. Only downside is the case is made of somewhat cheap looking silver metallic plastic, photos suggested a metal case - low price should have been clear indicator it was plastic I guess so my bad. Very good, light powerful laptop for the price.

Great Spec for the price
Delivered next day via Prime at no cost. Worked out of the box with little setup. No problems so far. This is a good machine, great keyboard feel, great picture for the size (which suits my needs). Very fast due to Core i7 processor and SSD. Startup and shutdown speeds are faster than anything Ive had before. Can't fault at the moment.

Perfect laptop for kids
Got this to support my daughter's home schooling during lockdown and it's perfect. It's fast enough for her purposes, can run Microsoft Teams and several Chrome tabs simultaneously without a problem. I'm a big fan of Asus products and this didn't disappoint.

Asus Vivobook R465JA - Recommended despite some irritations
This is a mini review of the Asus Vivobook R465JA First, let me list some of the facts/niggles about this laptop: - The power button is right next to the delete key and feels the same (it doesn't have a different texture). I have powered off several times now inadvertently. This is very irritating. - The SSD is 128Gb not 256Gb as suggested in the description. - Despite the images, the keyboard is not backlit. However, the large white on black characters are easy to see. - When you insert a micro CD card in the slot, the card does not sit flush and sticks out (about 0.5cm) - far enough to be at risk of being knocked. Something to think about if you were going to keep it in all the time and use it as additional storage. - There is no 'Home' or 'End' key on the keyboard. You need to use ‘function’ and arrow left or right. - Some Asus laptops come with a 12 month Microsoft Office subscription. This model doesn’t. - I like the grey finish, although I realise this is subjective. The grey finish is plastic. - The keyboard is nice to use and the keys have a decent travel. The middle of the keyboard has a bit of a rattle if typing too hard. - It comes with Windows 10S. If this is too restrictive, it only takes a minute to ‘upgrade’ to Windows 10 Home. - Bizarrely, the LED showing power status is on the opposite side from the power socket. Being realistic, this is a budget laptop. Despite the list above, in my view it is good value and I would buy it again. Despite the finish being plasticy, I actually like the look of it. It is a good looking, budget Windows 10 laptop.

Hopeless Laptop! Useless Customer Service
Initially this seemed a good buy. However, at barely 14 months old, internet access started freezing. At 16 months old the internet adapter failed altogether. Asus costumer service is unhelpful. They confirmed it was out of warranty and sent me a link to arrange for it to be collected for a "paid" repair. The form is long, complicated and if one happens to try to go back a page to check you entry it deletes the entire form. Eventually sent off the form to receive an email barely an hour later saying they were refusing to pick up as it was outside the warranty period. Thankfully, I had purchased insurance with "protectyourbubble" at the same time. They could not have been more helpful. If I ever buy anything like this again through Amazon I shall always purchase any insurance offered.

Screen inexplicably broke after 8 months
After just 8 months of normal use, screen started pixelating/ funny colours. Can't use laptop anymore. Vendor says they won't cover faulty hardware after 30 days of purchase. Great.
