Absolutely fantastic reel, used it for the first time today and it was great, very smooth and the free spool works perfectly. I managed to get a few 8lb carp out with it and it was no problem at all. Would definitely recommend for the price

I know what youre thinking, is it really a quality reel? Well, id say yes, absolutely. I actually paired it with a rod from the same brand to try it out and i was thoroughly impressed with both. I actually use it more than some of my other combos. The reel is slick and has a good action. action is nice and smooth. The freespool works as well as any other ive used and the drag is spot on. For the price point im not sure you get much better than this.

Surprised at the quality to price, this reel in the 90's would have been £80 ish. I haven't used it yet, but it feels really solid and it comes with a spare spool. I'm going to put it through its paces on the Nidd with some barbel. I have only ever used Shimano gte or stradics this feels solid, we shall see.

A good reel at a good price, works well

Bought as an emergency budget replacement for a respected, branded reel but it matches everything the other one does at half the price. Got all the features you need, looks good and is a nice weight. Early days but it was a pleasant surprise and deserving of 5 stars.
