Look & See: What Do I Eat? Board book – Illustrated, August 5, 2008

I love how all the animals are vegetarian! At first you think it might be coincidental (nothing ever is) but it becomes obvious it was meant to be like that when you get to the rhino page and it says that it doesn't harm the birds because it's interested in veggies instead. I have this one and the Let's Count but I think this one is much cuter. Also, I really love how it starts off with the baby hippo breastfeeding and mom saying she'll soon eat grass. Plus, I got it for $2 so it was such a bargain!

I get that it's a kids book. But if you publish a book, at least be accurate. TURTLES don't live on land and eat lettuce. How can the editor miss this... TORTOISES people, get it right !!! I don't want to teach my kid the wrong thing.

My 3 year old loves animals & is very curious about what they eat, so this book was perfect for him. He absolutely loves this book! Nice illustrations & a sturdy board book.

Not as good as I had expected. The paper quality and all is A1 but the issue is that almost all the animals are shown eating grass and I don't see the point in that pattern that first lured me to buy this book for my toddler. I am talking about the spiral circular pattern like you can see as the nostrils of the cow in the cover page. It's highly ok.

All these animals are vegetarians! Babies liked the book.

These books are great, however all the books in this series that we bought have issues with the holes lining up properly.

I love all of these La Coccinella books. We have several and they're all a big hit with my 1 and 2 year old. Beautiful pictures and simple text.

I bought this book because my son is interested in what different animals eat. However, every single animal in this book is a herbivore. My son quickly lost interest in the question 'What do I eat?' when every time the answer was leaves or grass. I don't know whether the author thought it was too scary for children to find out that some animals eat other animals, but I think the whole project of the book is a bit pointless and disingenuous. Also, I don't think turtles eat lettuce - is it meant to be a tortoise? The design of the book is nice but if your kid wants to know about nature, it's a bit of a waste of money.
