Comfortable, cool and cool looking mouse pad.
This mouse pad is just excellent. My wife had been mentioning a sore wrist and mentioned she thought it was from using her mouse at her desk. After a little shopping I found this mouse pad, and ordered it as a surprise, it has been a hit since day 1. A couple of the stand out features: #1 the wrist pad is very comfortable, it has an ergonomic design that supports your wrist while the gel.is just the right softness to have some squish without feeling awkward. Perhaps the nicest feature of the wrist pad is the split/twist in the middle, it truly does allow airflow that keeps your wrist cool while in use. #2 the mouse pad has a tacky but not sticky bottom. This mouse pad isn't moving after you get it where you want it and that is rad. I have to say I'd never considered spending money on an actual nice and feature filled mouse pad, but after my wife raving about this one and my using it at her desk a few times - it truly is excellent. Well done Kensington.

Nice no-slip mouse pad with comfy gel wrist rest
I've only had this mouse pad a few weeks, so I can't speak to its durability over time, but so far, it's awesome. I have limited room on my stand desk, so I needed a small mouse pad and this was the perfect size (6"x9" or less). I like the non-slip undercoating and comfortable gel wrist rest. Mouse tracking is smooth and has not failed me yet. Due to the other reviews complaining about durability, I assume I will need to replace it in a year or two instead of the three or four I've gotten out of previous mouse pads. It's cheap enough and nice enough that I'm fine with that. I don't understand reviews complaining about the gel leaking. I can pound on it and nothing happens, but like anything, I suppose it can fail over time. Either that, or those reviewers received a defective product. As for me, I'm glad I ignored those reviews and took a chance on it; there were not a lot of other choices that had this many positive reviews. Update (April 4, 2022): The gel finally leaked out of the wrist rest a little over 3 years after I bought it. No idea why it leaked; guess the material just got thin and wore out over time. The mouse pad had been showing signs of wear anyway and not tracking as good the past six months. I bought a replacement (same brand and design, different color) since the original lasted a year longer than I thought it would. Update (July 5, 2024): The second pad I bought is still holding up well two years later. No signs of wearing out yet, so I assume it'll last me another year or so like the first.

Super comfy and totally worth it!
I didnโt expect a mouse pad to make such a difference, but wow โ this oneโs awesome. The gel wrist rest feels super comfortable and really helps during long hours at the computer. My wrist doesnโt get sore anymore, and the mouse glides perfectly on the surface. It also looks nice on my desk and is super easy to clean. Iโve been using it every day for work and gaming, and it still feels like new. Definitely one of those small things that makes a big difference โ highly recommend it!

Comfortable, mouse glides with ease, and it'll stay put
Most recent update: After using this pad for a bit longer, I've been liking it more and more. The compatibility issue with my laser mouse, for the most part, has been fixed by editing some of its software settings. It still skips sometimes, but that's the nature of infrared mice. I still really like the smooth vinyl surface on this pad, but be aware of the condensation that can occur on it if your hands are warm. This isn't really a problem for most people, but it is for me because of my infrared mouse. Other than that, this an awesome mouse pad. Also, if you've picked up the pad to move it too many times, dust and other particles could stick to the bottom the pad, preventing it from sticking to the surface it's on. To fix this, I just got a wet paper towel and wiped off the bottom, and it sticks once again. Update 2: After using for a few hours, I am noticing some compatibility issues with my laser mouse. Every so often my mouse will freak out and the cursor will jump across the screen. This is likely due to the shiny vinyl surface confusing the laser (and also the fact that it's black.) However, it works most of the time. Usually this only occurs when I pick up the mouse and place it back down. Original review: I like mouse pads with wrist support. I'm on my computer a lot, and without a wrest my palm gets achy. The previous pad I was using features a memory foam rest, but it's made up of a fabric. Because of that, the edges of the pad started to fray, and it collects dust easily. So, it became time to purchase a new pad, and one that will hopefully be more durable. I think this Kensington Duo Gel Mouse Pad will take the spot. For one, it's made entirely of plastic, so it will be durable for a long time. Second, the bottom is sticky, so it won't slide around during use. Lastly, it features a gel wrist rest which is cool to the touch. The airflow channel is nice, but I find that my palm still gets a bit sweaty, but not as sweaty as my previous fabric pad. The mouse surface is a smooth black color and my mouse glides over it with ease. It's also made of plastic, so it won't fray either. My main concern was if my mouse was going to work with the pad. I have a laser mouse and it uses IR (or UV?) light, and generally they don't work well on black surfaces. However, I used the surface analyzer function in my mouse and it scored a 100%. My previous black fabric pad only scored an 80%. I'm very pleased with this purchase and I see this pad lasting a long, long time.

2+ years of use (incresed use even due to pandemic) and still working great!
Always when I am shopping for something that I want to last I'm frequently scouring the reviews looking for the worst case scenarios and how often they are coming up (asking myself "is it a fluke issue or a common problem"). I will let you know of my experience in response to some of the negative reviews I saw prior to purchasing: I saw the review complaint about the gel breaking open and making a sticky mess after a month (eventually this can and does happen as it was the reason I needed to get a new mouse pad, but my last gel mouse pad lasted 5+ years (it was also a different brand)). I'm 2 years in to using this one and use my computer a lot with general use and all of the pandemic extra use with "virtual working/learning, staying connected/Zoom madness, virtual appointments, my video gaming life (I'm sure there is around 1000 some odd hours or more in there on gaming alone), of course all of the amazon shopping during the pandemic, internet searching and researching (because thee was a lot we needed to know and understand with what had been going on 2020 through 2022). To this day (Purchased in April of 2020, writing this June of 2022) there have been no issues. The only thing I can see "wrong" is that there is some dehydrated sweat from the hotter days of the summer sticking to the gel pouch, which is to be expected, that really has nothing to do with the quality of the product and everything to do with standard human use after 2+ years (also it can be cleaned with a few drops of water and **gently** rubbing with tissue paper). Saw the complaint about pain but I only found that after 12 hours of straight use and perhaps not drinking enough water. Pain was mild at best. 1 out of 10 with 10 being most painful (and that is after 12 hours... and really... perhaps at that point you should be taking a break anyways). Saw the complaint about the mouse pointer to skip in fine movements. Not sure how that happened for them. Perhaps something wrong with the mouse? I use a laser mouse and know that sometimes there are problems when a dust fiber gets stuck between the mouse laser and the pad (which is easily fixed by blowing some canned air at the laser or otherwise removing the dust fiber). I've never had the issue of the "cursor bouncing all over the place" issue reported by another reviewer (unless there was a dust fiber issue). Again... thinking this is perhaps a problem with the mouse they are using(or dust fiber... seriously check that first and perhaps save some money!). Saw the complaint: "This may have worked great for older mice, but newer mice that use laser tracking won't work with this mousepad." <--- I respectfully disagree as I am using a newer mouse with the laser tracking, bought my mouse in 2018.... Did they check for dust fibers? I have no idea if they did. Perhaps thier mouse is not a good mouse? I have seen pointer jumps with a lazer mouse on cloth fabric mousepads and found it to be either a dust fiber or lifting the mouse off the pad when using the mouse. I haven't had mouse pointer jumps on this pad when lifting the mouse like with other mousepads. Things I agree on: The split gel pouch **IS** an upside and I find the spot where I get sore in the wrist (the end of the forearm bone on the outer side of the wrist when holding a mouse on the mouse pad during typical use) is not getting as much pressure on it making my wrist hold up better than with my previous gel mouse pad (probably why I can go for 12 hours and not really notice an issue). The bottom of the mouse pad is not slippery and so it doesn't move around on my smooth desktop. Very helpful for my set up. The gel pouches do seem to be a bit more firm than previous gel mouse pads I have had but I think with the split gel pouches, any drawbacks that would typically come with firmer gel pouches have been adequately accounted for. My thoughts: I think that this is a GREAT product. If for some reason it falls apart quickly consider that it might have been a fluke in the manufacturing. I myself don't wear any bracelets or have any metal or hard plastic or other potentially gel pouch damaging objects coming close or into contact with the gel pouches (I don't put my fingernails into or finger scratch the gel either... you want to take care of those babies because they are the whole reason to get this mouse pad in the first place!). Hopefully this helps!

My mum LOVES this!
Got this for my mum at Christmas and she is loving it! She has carpal tunnel syndrome and experiences a lot of discomfort while using her computer. Her previous mouse pad wasn't great, so we got her this one. She has been able to use her computer for longer stretches of time and her wrist doesn't bother her as much as it previously did. It won't fix her issues, but it has made everything a bit less annoying.
