Vector Flight Controller XT60 + OSD

This is one of the easiest to use flight controllers and OSD. I have pretty extensive technical knowledge, so I initially thought the Multiwii (and derivative products) as well as APM would be interesting to try. After playing around with Multiwii and APM, I wanted something more plug-n-play where I wouldn't be spending all my time tuning parameters in order to fly. I purchased the vector, and so far, it has lived up to that requirement for me. I read the manual before receiving the vector, and familiarized myself with the wiring and how I would set it up. Once it came, wiring up the electronics was easy. I'm using this vector on a flying wing with elevon control and tuning was great out of the box. The vector handled my flying wing like a champ.The color OSD is really just icing on the cake. The best part about the OSD is that the basic sensors are all included as part of the flight controller - voltage, current/power draw, GPS, accelerometers, barometer, etc -- and all the additional information that can be calculated from those. This makes getting only the information you want easy.One of the other great features about the vector is that all the settings are customizable via the on screen display using the transmitter sticks/switches. It's easy to use the software to configure the vector at home, but with the on screen menus, you can change settings at the field without having to worry about carrying a laptop with you.My only gripe about the vector is that I wish the position of elements on the OSD were more customizable. There are 4 rows of 5 columns (20 positions total), 2 rows at the top of the screen and 2 rows at the bottom, where customized information can be placed. All the information in the middle of the screen is simply enable/disable and cannot be moved. This is a fairly small gripe though, and not worth deducting any stars from the rating.

So far every product i have purchased that Eagle Tree has produced has been outstanding. I have a great deal of there line up. Customer service is top notch aswell. When you compare apples to apples their product is the only way to go. When you have alot of money wrapped up in your long range fpv like i do, you won't trust anything but eagletree products.

I have throughly enjoyed my flight controller. It is installed on a 450 sized quadcopter. The fact it comes with OSD and a data logger and I can send telemetry data to my tarnis radio makes this one of my favorite controllers! I have a dji naza v2 w/gps, multiwii, cc3d flight controllers and for the money you can't go wrong with this flight controller. Every thing you can do on a pc with this you can do on the monitor. So changes can be made with out needing a pc while you are out flying.

The unit had defects.

Great Product! RTH Loiter works great. Read the directions and you'll be fine. Definitely worth the buy as the quality is high and you do get what you pay for. It would be great if there was a returning customer discount but as is there is no regret on my investment.

Great once you do your research to know how to get the most out of it.
