Is his good for football

Yes,it is suitable for football in winter.

Probably. It's in my car trunk for very cold days, out for a walk. They're still very effective, and I'd recommend them for winter activities.

I'm 12, should I get an adult or youth? I have a medium size head.

If you like a snug fit,you could choose adult.

Is this strechy, silky material cooler, temp wise, than the normal cloth ones you normally see ?

Yes, in my opinion it is it feels more like polyester and it's breathable and not so much like cotton. I would recommend 10/10!!!
