A MUST for all kitchen cupboards!
Currently these are priced at only £3.08 for a whole 500g!! Which I think is absolutely amazing and an unbeatable price, I have not found cheaper anywhere else!!I really do love these Soya chunks, they are SO easy to make and are so versatile. For all vegans, vegetarians or people who consume a lot of protein within their diet - this is something that is so handy to have in your cupboard for a quick and easy way of getting enough protein! So easy to make all that needs to be done is to soak it in water. I have multiple chronic pain conditions so on days where I am not so mobile and can barely cook I just make some noodles and put some of these chunks in the water with the noodles to soak with them. Please do keep in mind though that these Soya chunks do expand in size. But I find that they soak up flavour very easily. In comparison to something like tofu I personally think that Soya chunks are so much better at absorbing the flavours from the food that it is cooked within. Which results in them being a very tasty way of getting your protein intake. You add these to so much it's crazy. I only recently started using Soya chunks like this, I did look for them in the past and had a bit of trouble finding them but now that they are more available I couldn't speak highly enough of them!Another plus is that these are sugar and GMO free which gives me peace of mind. Also if you're in a sugar free or low carb diet I would also recommend them as they do not have a high amount of carbohydrates. Please let me know if this has been helpful for you! 🤍

So my first impression was not good but it was the way I prepared it. I followed the cooking instructions but I wasn’t keen on the texture so now I fry them after soaking to get a nice crispy texture and I absolutely love it. I’d definitely buy again and because they swell up when taking on liquid the bag has lasted quite a while and handy to keep in the cupboard

Surprisingly nice!
Got this as my usual supermarket delivery came without the meat substitute I’d ordered. I wanted something to put in a stew. I’ll be honest. These look awful and don’t smell particularly great BUT they’re actually pretty good! They don’t really taste of much at all but they soak up the flavours of whatever they’re in, which is great for stews and casseroles and hotpots and so on. The texture is quite good actually! Quite meaty, in fact. And there are easily enough in a packet for a few stews, so they work out as pretty good value for money. A pleasant surprise! I would, in fact, buy these again.

I love these, so easy!
They taste of nothing on their own, but soak them in stock for 10 minutes and they’re lovely! I always keep a bag around.I like to use a mix of powdered garlic, mushroom stock, vegan chicken stock, and nutritional yeast. Sometimes I also add soy sauce, if it needs the salt.Meat eaters have commented on the texture which is chewy and almost like meat—way better and cheaper than Quorn or many other chicken alternatives.A great way to add an easy protein boost to a meal. I find they’re best if you soak them, squeeze them a bit and then fry them in a pan. Soaking alone can make them a bit spongy, but I personally don’t mind that too much.

Rehydrated little sponges
I am a new Vegan and am committed to trying and retrying plant alternatives. I have finally improved my cooking of tofu to the point I enjoy it. So I thought I would try TVP. With these chunks, rehydrated they are look and have the texture of a sponge. Which is a strange experience. They did not take on the flavour of my dish enough - I have tried twice so far and to be honest the effort it took was not rewarded in favour. It is not the fault of the product brand per se, but probably that I haven't learnt how to cook TVP in the right way ... YET. It is a big bag and I am not in the habit of wasting food, especially when it is so pricey. My conclusion - if you KNOW how to cook TVP and are a confident vegan cook then this is a nice enough product - but curls would be more useful. If a vegan newbie like me, save your money and admit to yourself, despite the best of intentions, you don't need to replicate meat when whole food plants are YUM.

Prezzi superiori li ritengo assolutamente ingiustificati.
